During the downtime Cory did some streams with Chris where he revealed that 1) he accidentally gave the gang covid, so they went a while without being able to record, and 2) at one point Cory reached out to Sam Hyde about doing an animation of a bit he did. Sam Hyde was cool with the idea, while making it clear he wouldn't be able to pay him for the work, but things fizzled out and nothing wound up coming together

At some point, they read a superchat that asked about whether they liked Metokur's videos, and they said they did, not necessarily the meaner ones but at least the ones where he told the story of particular "personalities", and singled out the Nick Bates video as one they liked.
Also the superchat recommended them to watch the Jim/Josh stream.
 
Over the downtime someone on reddit made a thread complaining that people were making jokes towards Cory's trans girlfriend Lexi during the Elden Ring stream. The people in the thread are fucking hilarious, they seem like the exact type of people the boys would make fun of on webslporers.

I'm sure these people would be absolutely devastated to find out that content creators they like have opinions that don't coincide with their own. Speaking of:

Anyways, if you like something the best thing to do is just completely ignore the so-called "fanbase". When any group get's large enough, the vocal minority will take over and silence any dissenting opinions. It happens with everything. All it takes is one noisy asshole.

To be fair, that half of OneyPlays fans are annoyingly try-hard edgy, but come on it's a fucking stream chat. Let people say meaningless retarded shit in there. I doubt Lexi would care or is at least numb to tranny jokes on the internet if she can manage being around Cory, who's all kinds of fucked up.

I also just love the condescending the tone of this Redditor, like they're a mother scolding a child for forgetting to do his homework

Too much drama talk and not enough discussion about the new mascot of the channel Smegplant, I for one like his fez but I feel like his political leanings will bring too much unwarranted attention to the channel.

I'll tell you what, the Smegplant is a strong powerful mascot, and in this video he showed his true colors and what a gentleman he is, and what a good trooper he is, and what a fighter he is, and what a family man he is, and what a good genuine person he is, and what a funny person he is.
 
Looking at Chris I always had the assumption that hed be one of those weebs that just only watched Dragonball or Naruto so I was somewhat surprised when the conversation goes into anime, which seems to happen frequently whenever Dave's around
