As an addendum to number one: this is probably one of the things that a victim of a manipulative romantic partner will run into most commonly. All Veronica has to do is say "Chris was mean/controlling/judgmental/sex-obsessed/sex-repulsed/whatever", and now Mark has the one-up on the ex, proof or not. He's not as talented as Chris, or successful, or likable, but at least he has whatever arbitrary trait that Chris apparently doesn't have (or at least, thinks he has, because disagreeing with his gf's testimony would mean he doesn't trust her, thus paradoxically making him a "bad guy", in his own eyes). Being a better person IS a one-up on a shitty but successful ex, but only if that ex was ACTUALLY shitty. This can be difficult to navigate when your abuser has successfully triangulated people against you, but Mark has the benefit of multiple people testifying that Veronica is a two-faced liar (which ties into number three). I think Just Stop was probably acting out of compassion, but he really should have been more aggressive in private: hounded mutual friends for testimony against Veronica, that kind of thing. I don't think he was expecting KEEMSTAR to hop in and call him a drama whore. I'm sure Veronica was able to weaponize that nicely.
