My take on Cory is that he is really good at his craft, probably the best when he actually puts in the elbow grease, but, ever since Sleepy Cabin transformed from D list Celebrities' that worked on newground projects or made famous internet cartoons, to people who were in themselves the appeal, Cory and Niell seem to have gotten lazy, and are resting on their loreals, I am sure that if Cory really wanted to he could make 3-5 thousand a month on a porn artist Patreon/Subscribe Star. But they have drunk the milk and honey of Gay Gumpd phoning it in to receive triple the return.

Bad news, YIIKbros. At around 2 hours 4 minutes of the stream, they confirmed the YIIK finale is cancelled.
According to Chris, it wasn't that big a deal, they overhyped it, it was too much work and everyone got too busy to finish it, so it's over, sorry.

massive cope but do they not even have a recording of them finishing the game/talking over game footage? I never even cared about the animation they were trying to do, I just wanted to see Chris's live reaction to the Two Brothers bit
 
Can't believe I missed Seff not only in the Oneychat, but also Tomarposting despite Tomar not even being there lol. Very based.

Re: YIIK... I agree with sneedem&feedem that it's likely just DD&J not wanting to be associated any more with Oneyplays and not wanting to do anything more with them.

inb4 it's actually Ding Dong and Julian holding everything up as they no longer want the audio released as they try to dissociate from OneyPlays... again.
 
I like that Niall has been on the last couple streams. He's probably the most underrated of the early oneyplays and Sleepycabin crew.
 
I suppose it's fitting that yet another great OneyPlays playthrough ends up being abandoned before they finish the game (:_(

They said they were trying to reverse engineer the game's cutscenes and even had Kirbopher there for a couple of videos a bit after their YIIK playthrough so we know it's not a "not a big deal" and they indeed had something big planned...
This is truly a rest in pepperoni situation.

Ok wait what's the drama with DD&J and how is Kirbopher related to it? I thought DD was just being a gay drama queen about something unrelated to Oneyplays and is just leaving the Internet as a whole.

I don't know what Dingdong and Julian's opinion on Kirbopher is but I mentioned him being on the show because he's Alex Yiik's voice actor and if they had him there it was because they were probably planning on having him do some voice work for the YIIK finale.

I summarized it here but I can give you an extra tl;dr on it. Both before and after DingDong did his latest leaving-the-internet arc he made mutterings about playing with the cutscene engine and after he returning he made another mention of it in Dec 2022.

Meanwhile Kirbopher was a guest for OneyPlays for a recording session, so that seemed like potential he was there to record some new lines.

Edit: After rereading DingDong's Dec 2022 post, he didn't imply that they were still working on it - just that he spent time on it.
 
Its nice to finally have a clear statement that Yiik is dead, but at the same time I wish he had just said something earlier so this wouldn't have been a running joke for nearly 3 years. I do wonder when exactly it was canned though, if Skelebro is right and it still had some sort of pulse in April of 23, was the plug pulled after the 2 year mark or what?
