Early Lyle was just used to a more structured form of content, I think. Setup-payoff types of deals, judging by all of his own personal projects in the leadup to oneyplays.

I stopped watching for a while right around then, but if my foggy memory serves, he improved considerably over the course of the MGRR and DonteMC playthroughs as he got more used to the flow and format of riffing, rather than elaborate and long-winded jokes. Lyle really feels like he does better when the crew actually sticks to a fucking game for any given period of time, because he's pretty good at callbacks and actually playing video games.

I would guess that Kirbwhatever is also not used to the format, as he has that sort of manic, spergy "who, me?" energy about him. He'll mellow out, then probably admit to zoosadism or something because he seems like the type to get comfortable and then confess to crimes.

I think Supermega were fine when they were on, not like today where they have been wholly consumed by LA.
Stupid drama aside, I personally didn't care for them even then. Whenever I rewatch their Kingdom Hearts series I skip the parts with Matt in them, he just kinda barges in and ruins the mood for a couple of episodes.

Felt the same way, although the Hitler hypothetical is still bloody hilarious.

You know, the saddest part of supermega is that they became so woke that they've been trying to ride the coattails of the Chris chan documentary and went all out with the whole "UHHH RESPECT HER PRONOUNS" thing and commenting on everything involving Chris chan and the documentary, but I haven't seen their reaction to the rape

I wouldn't be surprised if they're on the "SHE was a rapist but don't misgender HER" side

Supermega I thought were some of the better guests on the show. Matt played off Chris pretty well and it seemed like they all got along. And maybe It's cause I haven't kept too up to date with them, but I dunno what everyone means about them devolving. They seem the exact same as they were in 2016, I'd say better after ditching Game Grumps.

Most of the ire toward supermega comes from that stupid podcast they do and Twitter

They did start getting better when they ditched game grumps but here comes the whole BLM shitshow and they do an episode dedicated to it where you get to listen to two rich guys tell you that not only racism bad but police bad too, then name-drop JonTron to please Twitter kids

Let's play-wise I haven't kept up on because they started to get real boring, almost like game grumps where they run out of jokes and then resort to making noises for the rest of the episode or reuse previous jokes, but that was over a year ago

I have no idea how Chris and friends haven't turned into egoraptor level fags.
Probably because, unlike Arin, they have bigger responsibilities these days (Oney with his game, Tomar with his VA career, etc.) and them not being backstabbing snakes.
Im almost certain its entirely out of spite for what Arin became
Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if them seeing how Arin was acting gave them all the reason they needed to avoid being him like the plague.

Yeah makes sense why I haven't heard much about this, I don't watch them much anyways, but I definitely don't tune into the podcast and I avoid Twitter like the plague. Still they don't seem terrible, but they're definitely acting like celebrities. Just going for the good cookie points like everyone was, I remember people were getting called racists for stay neutral back than. And did they really call out Jon? I'm guessing for that one funny moment almost five years ago? Yeah that's pretty lame of them.

If I remember correctly it's like at the ass end of the BLM podcast episode Matt goes, "But jontron said racism doesn't exist anymore" or something to that extent, just had to make sure to namedrop him for THAT moment and get all these feelgood comments about calling out bad birdman

Him getting out of Midgar should have been a Shawshank Redemption moment. His sweaty fat body being cleansed by the rains, the grease from his hair being washed away by the metaphorical urine of sky angels. Everything slowing down where you can see the nuances of his moobs jiggle.

No but instead he dies right away to the first thing he encounters.

The Banjo-Kazooie run was one of my favourites on the channel. Real shame they never finished it.
