The sheer disinterest they had for this game was so fucking funny. Lumpy Touch's stuff is depressingly uninspired. He has some fantastic technical and art skills, but the man could not think up something original to save his life. Glad this video still ended up entertaining since they literally weren't paying attention at all to the game.
 
That was my introduction into it to. Some guy doing an analysis of it and then suddenly BAM shit was everywhere.

Such a weird thing for the algorithm to pick considering all tthe dicks.
 
i have literally never heard of fear and hunger in my life, until about a year ago when someone on my friends list gifted it to me. i never played it.

so very odd to see it keep popping up everywhere.
 
I got horror game hiding serious fucked up fetish stuff feeling from fear and hunger. I'm not surprised to learn you can get raped by the massive monster with its dong out. The second I saw the knight design I got serious "this was maybe designed by a troon and probably has weird body horror".

How heavy does it lean into that stuff? It looked impressive from a technical aspect for an indie game but the plot was paper thin. It is not exactly a witch hunt contender.

Very heavily, The creator is a finnish guy that has stated that the came Idea for the game originally came from sitting around asking friends fucked up questions. It's meant to be grim and unrelenting, but none of the sexual violence is shown or presented in a erotic manner. That's not to say that there aren't people that get off on it instead of seeing it as horrible.

Lyle was actually pretty decent in the Sonic Frontiers series. Last time I didn't skip a Lyle series was Pizza Tower and before that, Whiplash

My impression of the game was that it actually was a fucked up porn game with either gameplay or a story that people liked.
This was based on being in threads on /v/ discussing the game a few years ago.
Guess it's not surprising that the people who would be getting off to it would be your average /v/ user.

I was thinking about OneyPlays the other day and it's really amazing how, other than a few naughty words needing to be monkey sounded off because Youtube bullshit and some drama with former members, they really haven't changed for the worse in the past few years at all. Like it's been going 9 years now and the group involved have been, generally, the same for about 5 years, and yet they haven't changed pointlessly, done stupid life-ruining shit, or anything else Youtubers tend to do in that time and I very much appreciate that. Like that Portaboy+ video felt like a Visage or Witch Hunt episode.

The key is the sheer disdain they have towards their fans, youtube and ecelebdom in general. Having actual jobs and creative gigs probably helps too.

It's probably just a coincidence but I think the Tomar, Zach, and Chris is the perfect combos for good videos. Zach is the wild card but not fucking insane and bit ruining like Cory, Tomar is the grounded one, and Chris in the mediator between. That's why Witch Hunt, Visage, Portaboy+ and their one-off Home Alone series are a perfect balance of game talk, hypotheticals, and natural conversation.
