If I was hanging out with my girl Shapiffany and my friend comes by with a meticulously made custom sex doll that looks just like her, and then he proceeds to tell me how he went through an entire bottle of lube drilling out his own personal Shapiffany, I think I would be justifiably upset. Now replace sex doll with living clone who acts just like her, and yeah I would be extremely upset.

I do agree with Chris's girlfriend question, but I don't know what it proves regarding the Hitler question. I think if the guys thought about it they would also agree, but they were too stubborn to give Chris any leeway to spin into a nonsense told-you-so about Hitler.

I'm kindof miffed that Forspoken is continuing, because they dropped so many fascinating and fun games... to give more time to -that-? What, so you can say it's shit a few more times? Ah, but the audience will eat it up.
That is quite the take, I can appreciate the sheer contrarian nature of it though. In the DD/J area games that where obscure or interesting had a much higher chance of producing something good because DingDong actually had a passion for them, so you could get some interesting info on top of the inherent silliness. The thing about post-DingDong OneyPlays however... Chris seemingly just doesn't like video games very much at all outside of the few from his childhood he's nostalgic for or the rare case one has something completely off the wall unexpected so the game is almost entirely just a springboard for improving weird shit, and very often even that is ignored and everything is completely unrelated for long stretches. So while Estatica is an example of something weird enough to keep them engaged the other thing is games that are ridiculously lame and Forspoken is basically the perfect example of one that gives them a lot to work with. The stupid characters and nonsensical plot annoying and surprising them with new lows is the perfect format for Chris and Zach to be in top form, and even Lyle is doing well with it. For these reasons, I would say they are not just calling it bad ad nauseam, but engaging more than usual and keeping the commentary relevant to the game rather than going on too many tangents. People will eat it up because it's the perfect storm of elements to get funny shit from the boys.

The DD sperging will keep on going because he is the most lolcow adjacent in the group (unless you wanna count someone like Stamper).
My near-exclusive posting about him and Julian come from my lack of watching the others at the moment. I want the rest of the boys to pick up a fun long-term game that I happen to not be trying to avoid backlog spoilers on. Then with DingDong I want to go from "I'm really feeling worried for this guy" to "Hey what about that fun stream he put together?". Sadly that's how a lot of lolcow stories start, failing to turn things around.

Stamper I'm way behind on his lore, something to do with someone's bike in his front lawn, he was "screwed over" by a voice acting guild, "even Tom Fulp gave up on him", and I adore using his Snickers Cookies video as an example of what dudes do when they're depressed. The lyrics are intense even vaguely knowing what trouble he's having.

Stamper has moved states like 8 times in three years, got kicked out of his mom's house and his sister's house for being a belligerent piece of shit, got a DUI in Wyoming and has been arrested several times in other states for public drunkenness and trespassing, and now intermittently babbles on his youtube community page for a few days at a time before going dark for weeks and then showing back up again to post a community poll like "do you like asiago cheese? *thinking emoji*"

I think when Chris says "clone" he's talking about like a scifi mad scientist clone where you step into a machine and there's a flash of light, then a second you appears in another machine that's identical to you in every way. At least that's how I took it, I understood his thought process right away but he just worded it in a really stupid way
Doesn't matter. Even if it was a perfect carbon copy with the same memories and thoughts, you wouldn't have bilocation dude. You wouldn't magically have two physical manifestations in time and space of the same being. You'd end up with two very similar but still distinct beings, who wouldn't be culpable for what the other did now or in the past. Little Hitler did nothing wrong.

So in their playthroughs of D or Illbleed, you get to see a lot of critique of the unerlying, obvious flaws of the game underneath with a modicum of appreciation for what the creators were trying to do, and especially what they were trying to do at the time and on the hardware. I like that a lot. The YIIKthrough, even if incomplete, is a fantastic experience precisely because that game comes so frustratingly close to "average" that it's genuinely engaging to see them chew on it, and chew on ideas of how to improve it. It's captivating in the way the Running Shine review is.

Forspoken is not really much different from the average in terms of modern shit-tastic open-world RPGs, and its combat system is as shallow as you would expect given the engine it was baked into. The writing is abhorrent, but no more abhorrent than Borderlands or Saint's Row reboot. I like that they played it for a little while and then rightfully shelved it, but I don't see the appeal of going back to it. The gameplay is going to be the same. The systems, and the godawful menus, are going to be the same. The abhorrent writing will be applied to a different particular plot beat, but it'll have the same complete oblivious lack of self-awareness (or consideration for its own setting) that the rest of the game had.

To me, Forspoken is bad on the level of Biomutant - entertaining for a little bit, but very quickly on "this is the rest of the game" sets right in there.

Looks like they didn’t play ‘the best DLC in the whole series’.
DS2cels stay losing.
