As someone on the outside, I do feel like Julian and DingDong use a bit too many vagueries for people who want to be straightforward about what their YouTube experience was like and why they want to get away from it. It leads me to wonder if they're under some sort of NDA so they still can't talk about everything. Though it's also probably because they don't want to contribute to any further drama or mudslinging between other people.
 
Dream Daddy came out in 2017, that's been his go-to drama obsession for 8 years. This is also not someone who fell into the Internet without knowing how people can be.

On the topic of DD (rest his soul) and julian, what have they been doing all these years?

By my understanding they have been working on their linear game - Tough Bippy, sharing the load 50/50 for art and coding with outside aid for other parts like music, and yet have produced nothing since 2017 -I understand that making a game is an exceptionally hard task that takes many years even more so with only a few people, but they are self admitted doordash hermits, 24/7 at the desk for Dingdong at least, making 5k a month, and it's almost been 8 years.

Is there a demo or something at least out there? I just can't find one, is this just a nostalgia for funny men grift?

I'm sympathetic to a point with Ding Dong and Julien, but it wasn't their Youtube fanbase that caused all that shit a while ago. Respect goes both ways.

What does that even mean? I'm not familiar with Tumblr but he is horrified because people engage with his page that is open to the public? Like telling him how much they like him and he feels uncomfortable about that? Then why have a public page in the first place? I always though DD was the neurotic one but that sounds insane to me.

DD and Jules are probably trying to get away from their online personas and the Internet in general. Just rip the bandaid off and shit out the unfinished YIIK finale or cancel it completely. At its current state, it's going to be like Duke Nukem Forever and nobody will be satisfied at this point. Judging from general experiences, the longer people are kept in the dark, the worse it gets.
It sucks, but if people want get off of the Net in earnest, they should have the opportunity to do so. But this is a permanent decision.
If they try to get back on another moniker (or god forbid, grift), they'll get torn to shreds and they only can blame themselves from that point. But to be honest, they should move on.

They could also just not give a shit. What are they even annoyed about now? They have been complaining since forever about some nebulous worship shit. That's not the internet, that's just entertainment in general.

I like to think they are waiting for IV to drop and its going to involve the dev and stuff.
