I almost feel like Cory is too overt with his shit to be doing anything actually evil, Shad always had people playing defense for him, saying he was just a troll blah blah, Cory is just Cory.
I think part of the issue is that they've played all the interesting games years ago, and all they have now ranges from mediocre to shit. I'd kill for a Newgrounds Halloween special but It seems like they are content with just playing shit off steam or old dos games.
Here's to hoping that there is at least one playthrough untainted by Cory or Adam... Also is it just me or are all the merch just Chris, Zach, Lyle and Tomar?
They still don't have a phasmophobia, right? Dead By Daylight, the massive litany of weird indie-RPG horror games, Call of Cthulu (the jank one), Frictional's entire library, Barotrauma - there's no shortage of spooky shit to pop in, alongside the groundbreaking thought of planning ahead and doing a game that has a 'spooky' level (Gex, Timesplitters, etc) and aligning the release-schedule so that level comes out during BoneyPlays and it continues on afterwards.
It helps that Lyle is the only one that I can definitively say actually likes video games.
And actually play them well.
You can thank their corporate whore manager for that, it was his idea as well to change the title formats so you don't know what part of the series you're on.
There is some minor censorship and that stupid "Game was made at a different time" message, but aside from that the game does seem pretty good...as far as remakes tho, obviously playing the original(with mods, if need be) is always the superior experience.
