Speaking of Cory's family I should go rewatch the Titan Fall 2 videos those were great and I wish Cory acted more like that than playing up his wackiness.

Also it's interesting to see the division of their older fans and newer fans, because calling the edgy animators and pornographers obvious Trump supporters is hilarious especially Cory.

I don't remember him sperging out about politics, but I have seen him sperg out about G4, internet drama, video game reviewers, and content creators.
I wish he didn't go on random rants over the mildest things because he is very fun to watch otherwise, but him sperging out over politics wouldn't surprise me.

Most DingDong streams have at least 10 minutes of societal talk somewhere which is considered politics to some people. He's been alluding to him and Julian being targeted for harassment in real life which supposedly happened in the last place they lived too. But at the same time he doesn't want to go into it either. Kind of a no win scenario bringing any of that up because some viewers don't want to hear about that stuff, but others just wont believe it without details.




Far as I've seen DingDong will only go as far as to say "People are taking this time as an opportunity to be nasty, so, just stick together" and will call Elon Musk a moron. But he's never said anything along the lines of "The orange man is big and bad and evil and all of his supporters should kill themselves". I can at least appreciate that he blames a general nastiness instead of everything on Trump. That and 90% of his streams still tend to be hobby related or stuff they find funny.

Skimming through the playback I can't find when he stated something along the lines of "if someone is ignorant about people [losing their rights] this passed week they're just playing dumb." That attitude always makes me feel talked down to because I in fact don't know what's been going on this week, and if I asked in chat that would obviously come off as disingenuous just because of the context. This last week all I've heard about is 490 illegals in Chicago being deported. There's some joke there about Chicago where he's from and aliens.

Dingdong is obviously aligned with progressive viewpoints and would see stuff like the executive order to exclude trans-inclusive language being excluded from legal paperwork as a step away from him being safe. Which is easy to understand for a guy who was closeted and probably afraid of being beat for being gay growing up. If he's truthful about getting harassed by neighbors it makes me really wonder where he chooses to live.

Just an extra: I thought it was funny that Julian went to say the donator's silly name but gave up.

Yeah I remember him talking about that where they used to live like their neighbors were assholes, had a cruel kid, and something about a restaurant.

Yeah they moved somewhere else either a year or two ago. Without knowing that closed restaurant the only indicators of the previous place is that it was still in the Pacific time zone, with wild elk, a few (or several) hours of driving distance from Chris, and that it was a town small enough for everyone to get together and do a movie night. So North Cali / South Oregon maybe? To throw people off their trail they claimed to to have moved somewhere near the deep South but I don't think that was true.

I wont claim to know North Cali / South Oregon but I'd be stunned if that region had truck gangs that go around spray painting things and hazing people out of town. It's hard to find anywhere more pure red than Wyoming which is my frame of reference and even they don't have that stuff.

I didn't catch anything overt. He seemed to be alluding to a general sense of dread and doomerism in his circles. When you're terminally online person of "alternative lifestyle" the people around you are going to be acting like the sky is falling when anything remotely populist happens. His mood was still good so I guess he knows none of this is coming for him.
