I really don't need someone being funny constantly for them to be a good Oneyplays member. He could roll with the punches and didn't get offended at anything at the expense of gay people. Despite how well Ding Dong was liked (and despite how much I drag the guy, I still genuinely like when he was on videos), he tried many times to ruin funny bits. In particular, I recall the Eustace raping Courage the Cowardly Dog bit. Ding Dong started getting all offended but Julian was nothing but laughs.

Oh also Julian called Chris when he noticed that his stream was still on despite thinking he had cut the feed. Chris revealed he was gonna jerk off and he got saved from that embarrassment so Julian will always be the MVP.

The reason they're a common favorite varies depending on who you ask, but they're my favorite in terms of the solid two cohosts that are (were) present on a consistent basis. The dream trio would be Chris, Zach, and either Jontron or Harry if that was ever a consistent group.

Also, the only three who seem at all interested in finishing games at all and has the stamina to sit through them are Dingdong, Julian, and Cory. That's a good reason to like a member.

That's how I feel with Lyle. I don't find him too funny on his own but he's a decent straight man paired with Cory and Zach.

Can't find the clip without skimming through several hours of Pokemon Red, but I cannot fathom how DingDong's angry "Haha gays don't deserve rights!" outburst made it into the final cut of a recording after Chris went for another gay joke. Even more awkward how Chris and Julian just sat there awkwardly and Chris didn't even apologize.

I may be wrong here and I don't even remember how I came by this conclusion the first time Chris mentioned this story but I don't think it was Julian who called him but instead FamilyJules. I think it's because around the time they uploaded that video, Chris and Jules collabed on some form and I didn't know they talked to each other, and seeing how Chris has called Julian Jules so few times I thought he would've just said Julian or call him "a friend" if the video was uploaded after they requested Chris not to mention them anymore.

I tried googling "OneyNG FamilyJules" but nothing comes up but a ten year old picture of them together. I'm not really that sure anymore that it was him so sorry if I'm just correcting you with misinfo and just shitting up the thread.

I started watching these guys because I liked their orange man linkara bit and holy shit they are actually really fucking funny. Their videos remind me of old school let's players before face camming, click bait, and overacting to every little thing ruined the genre for me.

I suppose. They weren't bad hosts, I just get the feeling a lot of the praise is coming from rose tinted glasses.
I love the Freddy Freaker bit and the Kingdom Hearts 2 playthrough with them, and a lot of the best Eight Crazy Nights bits had DD and J.
It's like when boomers go on about Queen or The Beatles. Yeah sure, they were fine, but the best thing ever? Nah I don't think so, scooter.

The C-Stick only controls the camera in single player mode in Melee. I also thought they mentioned they were playing on official hardware and that's why they have that horrible setup where the gamecube is connected to the CRT and the recording is being captured from the big TV they keep forgetting not to look at.

seeing them play it again made me want to play and i forgot how retarded they were making the c stick control the camera in adventure mode.
 
The retarded rhythmic laughing sounds Julian made for the Mario Odyssey song always killed me.
