Diseased Open Source Software Community - it's about ethics in Code of Conducts

Suckless is reactionary? News to me.
What does reactionary even mean, is it just another word for "right-wing"/"Nazi"?
It's me :)

But seriously though, it's supposed to mean "anti-revolutionary". Think people who want to return to the good ol' days. Nowadays it's just another word for "conservative".

Lunduke advocating for mandatory ID verification as "the only solution" to the AI bot problem (he literally just covered the Tea app leak). Besides the obvious, there are a few big problems with this. 1 platforms have the ability right now to massively downsize the AI bot problem, but they don't do this because those bots are beneficial to those platforms. 2 many of those "bots" are actually humans, whether they are Indians or Redditors. 3 even pretending that platforms want to get rid of the bots, this is unlikely to even work, because it is very unlikely that a convincing fake ID will be spotted, especially since shitholes like India will probably be willing to vouch for them. 4 this is very racist because black people are too stupid to get government IDs, as is well known. 5 the highest quality posters will leave because you would have to be terminally retarded to send your government ID to a tech company.

"ID Verification Could Fix The Dead Internet"

Yeah and cutting off my feet would fix my blisters.

The funny part is look what video he put out shortly after his one regarding using ID to fix the dead internet:

Oh, it's the very fucking reason we shouldn't trust anything on the internet with our ID verification.

The bot problem is one of the reasons I've found myself using the Farms more in recent years than ever before. This is one of the few sites that isn't botted to hell because there is no money in doing it.

Forcing everyone to ID themselves will only make all of the data on everyone online that much more valuable. It will further compound the problem.

The future of the internet is its roots: smelly, smaller forums with tight-nit user bases that know each other well enough that the bots stick out.

It's cursed though, I realised last night when using another forum that when I encounter someone being a NIGGER, i cannot call them a nigger. kiwi farms has forever spoiled my forum experience.

that aside, lunduke is a stinky jew and i've been saying it for months. glad i'm finally vindicated in some part.

I remember during the early days of the Ukraine War Lunduke was one of the few people advocating for Russia.

His take was "Ukraine is persecuting Jews", and Putin was "fighting Nazis", or somethign along those lines.

depend on Google Play Integrity API
This is only an issue if they're requiring MEETS_STRONG_INTEGRITY, which uses hardware identification and fingerprinting to make a verdict. Graphene consciously refuses to spoof it because it would invalidate their point that its pointless spyware.

Getting a pass on it would require a lot of favors from your local pajeet shaitan who happens to be cucked out of google pay at that time.

That's not the reason. Their reason is that spoofing it only works at a small scale and if they deploy it for every user, Google would quickly detect and block the spoofing, so it's pointless AND Google would be pissed at them flagrantly violating the rules.

Ignoring lucky patcher chuds counter-scamming mobile video games out of money? Hell yeah!
Privacy schizo ROM passing integrity checks? Hell naw!

Always the usual suspects who are suggesting these ideas to invade our personal privacy even more, TKD.

Why is it impossible for Jewish people to either not be greedy or have bad political takes? Is it in their DNA? I thought Jews were supposed to be smart.

I get what you're saying about the charm of smaller, more tight-knit communities where bots don’t thrive as much. There’s something about forums like KiwiFarms that give off that "old internet" vibe where everyone feels a bit more genuine and connected. The bot problem is real, and it’s only getting worse with so many platforms trying to monetize every little thing, making it easier for bots to infiltrate.

As for the ID thing, I agree it raises huge privacy concerns. Forcing people to ID themselves just puts everyone’s data at more risk, especially when it's all for the sake of “security” or “anti-bot measures.” It feels like the internet’s moving away from its roots, where anonymity was part of the fun and freedom.

Smaller forums like this have that advantage of being more human-centric, and you're right, the tighter the community, the more obvious the bots become. I guess the question is how to balance staying true to that while still adapting to new tech without losing what makes places like KiwiFarms unique?

Do you have a link or video for this?

(1) i would personally open my email inbox and my browser history for Donald J Trump to read on the shitter if it meant we could de-jeetify the internet and avenge all the ifunny martyrs

(2) this arms race to keep bots out is evolutionary pressure that means the bots are continually improving the quality of their content. Currently they are indistinguishable from oversocialized redditors who can only repeat memes, current-year approved opinions or insert inane dad jokes into any conversation they're in. But we are probably 6-18 months away from generalist models being able to do 110 IQ 2000s-era SA/cracked.com crossposter, or 2008 atheist blogger. It's not hard for me to imagine a world where bots post better content than the median 2026-era message board participant, at which point maybe people start rooting for skynet. Which is the point zuck has been making - people are so stupid and degenerate there are a lot of people who are going to prefer talking to an LLM even tho that portends civilizational death.
