The Debian package is ultimately built from the open-source repo, which is maintained here:
It has everything, including jokes removed by some distros.

The Debian offensive fortunes package page is here:
There is no recent activity since it's removed, but you can browse changelogs, etc.

How much of the FOSS stuff is due to corporations and governments wanting to control those pesky open source projects?
I have to imagine if I'm big company inc or the federal bureau of being an annoying nigger, having dependencies on open source projects could be seen as a potential issue.
Actually, just in typing this out, I've convinced myself that that's 99% of the reason.

I don't know how much of this is conscious and how much if it is retarded managers. There's also not shortage of narcissistic people in open source.

A small tangent on the fortunes topic, I came across this project, called fortune-kind:

It is the same as fortune, but Rewritten in Rust™ and made "kind" by trimming the set of fortunes. There is a use case for curated fortunes; not everyone has a taste for dark humor. But does it need to be a new project rather than an option on the existing one?

The author is a Danish troon "Christina Sørensen":

I'd say it is in equal parts individual narcissism and the influence of malign (read: corporate or governmental) entities. Not to repeat myself: but the issue is that these companies actively empower people that are natural narcissists to serve as their shabbos goyim, towing lines that are beneficial to those seeking control, the most obvious and omnipresent of which is the infamous Code of Conduct; literally nothing more than a tool used to suppress divergent thought and enforce tribe mentalities. It stops the *F* part of FOSS dead in its tracks by culling open discussion if it involves "unsafe" or whatever other buzzword you want to use, topics. Typical examples of "people" that support these sorts of mechanisms include the ogre Ariadne and other safety trannies that gain personal satisfaction through the influence they exert on others. Transsexuality is to humanity what aposematism is to animals; a clear-as-day sign that the tranny is a cancer, and nothing more. Otherwise, you can find the same sorts of people working in corprate roles that involve snitching on / controlling others, but that are also useless enough to where they can't really cause too much damage to the host company if they grow too big for their britches, a good example being the fetid sore that is HR.
