Why anyone would need more than a f'ing SSG for a f'ing blog is beyond me. Hell, you could host a blog in Gopher.
SSG+VCS even allows shared blogging. You just need the user to be a bit more proficient in using the SSG and knowing how to use VCS.

"Spiritual successor" seems to be the most recent word co-opted by TroonHat et al. when referencing laundered software. Here's an interesting thought experiment: consider any software description that uses the phrase "spiritual successor" or ones in a similar vein, then check the bio of the author. 9/10 times it will either be a tranny, pederast or corposcum employee. It may very well be as big of a warning sign as the Contributor Covenant CoC. Its the new unholy trinity: MIT + CoC + Spiritual Successor.

So they vibe coded a blog host (a type of software that's existed for around thirty years) with a feature to import data dumps from WordPress sites. Other than that and some back end UI similarities it doesn't seem to be a reimplementation at all. I'm guessing they're just using the brand name because it's so widely used.
Also, you expect me to believe a piece of software vibe-coded in the last few days is more secure than one that's been maintained by humans for the past quarter century? No.

And its wide ecosystem of existing themes and plug-ins which you'll no longer have access to. Anyone attempting to migrate will hit brick walls when they find out that some crucial plug-in is missing and they'll have to re-implement their theme from scratch. I'm guessing the fact that WP doesn't really have a standard router whereas a JavaScript app wouldn't be able to function without one might also be a point of friction.
Don't get me wrong, WordPress is a piece of shit that has been far surpassed by all standards by better software a decade ago if not earlier and should never be used by anyone who cares about quality software, and it pains me to defend it like this, but whatever shit this is that CloudFlare just shat out isn't impressing me as a replacement.

Some of us were still dynamic because of legacy. I gave up on my ancient blog software and moved to a slightly-less-ancient Grav instance. Dropped my dedi for a small KVM <1GB and cut my toy boxes I don't really do anything with down to two VPS.

I mean this is pretty autistic, code is still Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 and you can grab the code and build it for yourself just fine. That's what I do in Gentoo.

One merry day our boy Franky was obsessively looking up "libreboot" until he stumbled upon a little pull request from an Omarchy user: https://github.com/basecamp/omarchy/pull/4230 ; its a really nice read about a user configuring a custom Omarchy ISO so that it can boot on Libre/Coreboot with GRUB instead of the Limine EFI that Omarchy expects and implements by default. It all goes swimmingly until -- oh no! Frankie has found out that his project has been co-opted by na.... by n-n... by n-n-NAATZEES!!!! Frankie took swift action, putting those dirty transphobes in their place by replying to a pull request that hadn't been touched for ~3 months:

I want to be ten thousand percent clear: I am not affiliated with Omarchy Linux, in fact I find that project's leadership quite repugnant, and I do not support them at all. I consider the fact that they invoke Libreboot's name to be an insult to Libreboot, and I hope that they will stop doing so - of course, making it easier to boot Linux on Libreboot is a noble goal, but the creator of Omarch, dubbed DHH, has been known to associate heavily with the far-right; the development channel for Hyprland of which he and his project is associated is rife with racism, transphobia and all sorts of bigotry in general. Not sure what precedent he is trying to reference, because the FSF is still chugging without him 10 years after his meltdown and the GNU Boot thing went nowhere (the blog post is now gone, but the archive of it shows that his only actions against them were trying to contribute and then making a snarky blog post criticizing them). If his bootloader is distributed under a libre license like the name implies, it means he doesn't have any power over who gets to use it and how they get to use it.
The guy who opened the PR responded politely to him with standard inoffensive centrism, but did not concede to his demand. I hope that Frankenstein gets so angry that he gives libreboot a taste of the Tranny Special: modifying the license to non-libre, or adding malware to the code that detects and sabotages Omarchy systems, so he can be scorned as "ideologically motivated maintainer threatens the free software ecosystem for his personal vendetta" and the project can be forked out from under his gaping axe wound.

Literal best ending possible. The upstream Coreboot maintainers that collaborate on Libreboot code have little reason to not commit a coup d'etat. His commits are great when he can focus on them instead of schizoposting, arguing with invisible nazis or going on retarded tangents for months at a time. The guy legit makes fun things happen, like adding compatibility for a newer CPU to the 3050 micro and enabling it to run with up to 64gib RAM, up from its stock max of 32. That is legitimately good shit. Sadly, Frankie boy can't help but air out his rancid ditch and act like a spoiled child whenever someone does anything he doesn't like. Same kind of behavior endemic among their neck of the woods. Wish I knew enough C to rip Libreboot patches out piecemeal and upstream them to Coreboot.

Unless he's got a trademark on "Libreboot", just how is he going to enforce that? And just how the hell is he going to prevent people from using the Libreboot code, or making their code compatible with Libreboot? Has he forgotten about the the tech troon cabal's failed attempt to infiltrate the OSI to remove those pesky 1st, 5th and 6th tenants from the Open Source Definition (Archive)? Has he forgotten that he has licensed his code GPLv3?

Cory is running for an Open Source Initiative board seat.
Despite being rejected by the OSI perviously, he's trying to get in so he canstrong-arm them with wokeness "work with his peers" to change the organization's official Open Source Definition -- essentially the charter and guiding principles for the organization. Currently, his "Ethical Source License" is at direct odds with number 6 and possibly 5 of that definition.
