Every day I am made to suffer for choosing the path of the lisper. It wasn't enough for Guix to have maintainership, consensus and governance issues, now it has a tranny infestation with freaks like this polluting its PRs. Even worse, for the first time in my life, I find myself agreeing with a call to enforce a Code of Conduct. What a time to be alive. For context, this "person" submitted a Guix Consensus Document for updating and standardizing the way bootloader configurations are handled. Perfectly fine, technical, to the point documentation. Until Ludo chimes in to recruit some people who've previously worked on the messy bootloader configs, only for this to be the reply:

i do want to be clear about why this matters to us. coopi is a plural system; pronouns, manner of speaking, and writing style can depend on which being is fronting. asking me to replace that with a conventionally "professional" voice isn't just asking me to tone down some playfulness. it can amount to asking me to imitate a voice that isn't mine.
that is deeply alienating to us, and would make it difficult to feel that we are actually welcome here as ourselves.
i'm happy to change something if it is disrespectful, disruptive, or makes communication difficult. i just hope that being myself shouldn't, by itself, be treated as inappropriate.

So KDE proposed a policy on AI, which amounts to "code and its quality are responsibility of the developer regardless of whether AI was used, so don't even mention it". Some people, naturally, reacted very poorly.
