This keeps getting better and better. Like, I've been surprised by Jace n' his pals before, but this might take the cake.

I seriously hope for Eli's sake that he's just pulling Jace's leg, and not actually aiming to end up in Gaza. Israel itself is pretty dangerous for lone tourists outside of the designated areas, and there's not active military operations going on there. Eli could very easily find himself mugged, kidnapped, or worse.

He'll have to call up for some Israeli juggalo backup either way WHOOP WHOOP

I'm not saying he's going to get shot at the border, I'm saying that, again, the security measures there are going to be more stringent that we could possibly fathom, and that's even discounting the ongoing invasion. He probably wouldn't even make it to the border.
It's going to be exactly what I envisioned.

Duuude. There's like armed guards in the Gaza border. Duude. They just told me I can't get there. So I can't go rescue Tupac this way. It's a no go.

Tweet from Jace:
DUDE YOU JUST LACK COURAGE. GO THERE. GO THERE FOR GAMERSSSSSSS.

Maybe he can use Hamas' tunnel system. Just picture him with a towel around his head rambling pseudo-Arabic nonsense.

Hmm, interesting point. Could that maybe be the color of the window shades? (I know they're usually a light off-white color, but...) Last time I was on an airplane the flight attendants fervently required all passengers to keep the window shades down at all times during the flight. idk why.

Extremely unlikely, as the only planes that are equipped with window shades that can turn pure black are the really classy, expensive ones I.E. 747 first class. For a domestic flight, especially on an E190, US Airways isn't going to bother having fancy schmancy black windows even for Business/First Class, much less coach.

However, the real case is that probably isn't a US Airways E190. Going back to check the window, I noticed what appears to be an indent for a headrest screen on the seat just in front of the poor bastard unlucky enough to be sitting next to Eli. US Airways doesn't have headrest screens on their E190 planes, AFAIK. Who does, though? JetBlue.

If you pay closer attention, the "passenger safety" booklet in the rear seat pouch looks precisely like the one Eli conspicously seems to be actively avoiding the camera look at for even a second, and the booklet in the video behind the safety booklet is a close match to the blue seen in the pic above as well. Another damning detail is when the camera swings wide to get that sideways shot of the asile and you can see the right hand dividing wall (0:05 is the clearest shot I can get). It's a perfect match to the one seen here (look right above the balding guy's head lol);
show

Finally, given that JetBlue has a fleet three times as large as US Airways (exactly 60 : 20) and they run cheaper, more numerous domestic flights with their E190s, yet not ONE of the flights on Absinthe's list had JetBlue's name on them, there is no possible way Eli could have shot that video while en route to a connecting flight at Philly on the timetables we've worked out from his reported actions. I'm betting the video was being made on the return trip (the cabin noise and the woman reading the magazine suggest it was being taken while the plane was still prepping to leave the gate at Philly) and Eli is simply chilling at Tyce's.

Okay, so given what has been discussed (we know by now, given the detective work of other posters, that it's basically impossible that the video he posted was in any way related to his flight to Israel) it's very likely that this was a red herring designed specifically to throw us and Gamerfood off his tail. He specifically spoke to Gamerfood on Twitter and claimed they fell victim to a "false flag" plane:

That may not be much on it's own, but this tweet by Jace makes me believe that it was planned in advance:

My guess is he had a domestic flight a few weeks/months ago and filmed the video ahead of time.

The obvious question is: if it's a false flag, why tell us it's a false flag? The reason is that we don't know if it's an actual "false flag" or if they're just lying about it being a false flag to put us into doubt. Now, we don't know what to believe. It's worked. We've... been outsmarted by Jace. That is a first.

Normally I'd consider this way, WAY above their level of intelligence, but he's been planning this for almost two months and has had the help of numerous people (Eli, Tyce, and others in Deagle Nation, as well as potentially some trolls) Jace is incredibly paranoid about terrorists/Muslims and he knows that shooting down airplanes is exactly the kind of thing terrorists like to do; it isn't beyond him to think that would be an issue.

I also think the "birthright" thing is a similar ruse, because for reasons discussed earlier, it's difficult to believe he actually managed to get a free pass from the program. And also, like has been discussed before in this thread, all birthright trips are accompanied by a medic, a highly trained and armed bodyguard, and a bunch of other tourists. I think this was a bluff to make Gamerfood/Hamas think that Eli was going to be harder to kill than he actually is.

All of this leads me to think that Jace, Tyce, and Eli spent countless sleepless nights planning this charade, and that this "dossier" is incredibly intricate... although, in characteristic fashion, they forgot to book a fucking hotel or do any of the other most rudimentary preparations to guard from more mundane dangers like food, sleep, and hunger.

It's brilliant in all the wrong ways and retarded in all the important ways, exactly what Jace is known for.

All my doubts about this just got smashed with a fucking hammer. Those license plates, the skyline... he is definitely in Tel Aviv.
that video is immensely quotable
"Tel Aviv is like an al-Qaeda city, but I'm here to take out al-Gamerfood, so I guess al-Qaeda can wait"
"I'm just waiting for my transport to the Gaza Strip..."
it'd be hilarious if he got press-ganged into the IDF and got plonked into the middle of Operation Protective Edge. I know that's never going to happen, but a man can dream.

What if he does have a hotel, but believes that if he claims he doesnt have a place to stay gamerfood will offer him a place to stay and then try to kill him or get him to go somewhere where he will be killed? It seems a little off that they wouldn't plan for him to be able to sleep anywhere but then make up such a rather smart plan for him to film in the wrong plane, which I still believe to be done unintentional.

Huh. I will tip my hat to that, but if Eli didn't travel with a free ticket, then Jace has wasted several X-Boxes worth of money on this mission.

Counterpoint:

Well goddamn, he actually is over in the Middle East. I didn't see that video earlier, but I still am having trouble believing somebody is actually fucking stupid enough to even think that they can keep an effective video diary of their mission to single handedly stroll right into a fucking warzone for any asinine reason with the promised payment of an Xbox One.

The obvious question is: if it's a false flag, why tell us it's a false flag? Nah, it's more like Jace outsmarted himself. Seriously, what does it matter if the plane video was of the actual first leg flight? All that's been confirmed at this point is that the video must have been filmed on a different JetBlue flight some time ago (and I suspect the mention of Advanced Warfare was meant to be a way of allowing the video to be posted at any time, especially since it struck me as odd that Eli suddenly was going to be away on this assassination mission until the middle of November as that game doesn't release until Nov. 4th), and this second video claiming that Eli "just" arrived in Tel Aviv means Eli is there. It's stupidity on their part if they actually thought giving play-by-play updates with misleading videos if the end result is the same either way.

I also think the "birthright" thing is a similar ruse, because for reasons discussed earlier, it's difficult to believe he actually managed to get a free pass from the program. If an actual terrorist group wants Eli dead, him being part of a group isn't going to make that any more difficult. It's not like a well-briefed sniper couldn't pick him out from the crowd anyway.

Funny how everything they forgot to plan out happens to be the exact things that are never, ever covered in the FPS games that involve assassinations in the middle east.

It's brilliant in all the wrong ways and retarded in all the important ways, exactly what Jace is known for.
I think it's safe to say that Eli does not have a lethal weapon on him or in his baggage, despite what he, Jace, and anybody else might think. Even something as simple as a knife wouldn't have passed airport security.

Okay... my best guess is that Eli went on a vacation to Israel with his family months ago and this whole thing was filmed long in advance.
Otherwise I don't know

i'm just saying if the prime minister turns up dead with some sort of crude kitchen knife-wooden dowel implement in his chest, i'll stop calling jace an autistic furry gay fake marine. at this point it's getting so insane i dont have any clue where it'll go.

he'll be a legitimate gay autistic furry gamer of the battlefield. souper fajitas to all our armed forces and hail deagle nation.
