It has the word "tatical" in the name on the website so it probably is the one Eli has because Jace bought it.

No, Jace probably thought it was "temporary" in so far as it's like the starting gun in any game like MGS (usually you get a generic pistol or dart gun) or whatever is the case in CoD, and you're supposed to sneak around, kill people by snapping their necks, and steal their weaponry. Hence why Jace's response to Eli about how to get a better gun was "be stealthy" shit.

But yeah, how it could possibly have gotten through security in the event it is a legit crossbow is beyond me, leading to the idea it is the shitty pencil one.

Not everyone with schizophrenia is a raging sociopath, I'm just saying this because I agree with you and think that Jace is being a massive dick head. I don't think he realizes the magnanimity of this whole situation.

Yeah, as much as Jace pissed me off today, I have to remember that he isn't working in our shared reality. He really does think infiltrating a warzone is as easy as a videogame.
He sent Eli into what might be the most hostile place on the planet right now, assigned him the mission of killing a world leader with a makeshift crossbow, and is shocked that he hasn't seen "Achievement unlocked" pop up yet.

Jaces loves ordering people. If he was in Eli's position and was doing this for someone else he would have given up sooner. On day 2 or 3 he would have demanded to be brought home. Of course, if it was Jace being there of his own accord... either given up by day 3 or detained.

50/50 on if he would have thought of a return ticket.

Um, I've never really followed Jace that much so sorry if I'm repeating stuff. What i'm gathering is Jace sent this Eli guy to Israel to assassinate a prime minister with pencil-bow and then something about an embassy. Is this shit real?
