I want Oprah to run for president and win, just to prove that both sides of the political spectrum are idiot starfuckers.
 
A billionaire celebrity wants to run for president and people are salty.

I don't know if I like this new trend, but it surely is a bit entertaining.
 
Just imagine that she actually get to the elections and the democrats lost again, please, make her the nominee so Trump can have another easy win, the salt is going to be amazing for years to come i can see the headlines now

"Oprah lost election, Probably the new empire of neo russia is to blame"
 
This wouldn't be anywhere near as funny as a second term for Trump.

I mean, nice try and all, (((guys))), but there was a certain perfect storm of events that made Trump becoming the President so hilarious. This is just a celebrity wanting to become president. There's nothing funny about that on its own, it would just set a trend for more tryhard celebrities to run, like Kanye. Trump had a certain thing about him that made him especially ridiculous, and above all, delightfully rebellious, for the more chaotic right-leaning voter.

And on top of that, Trump is actually doing shit I like, sometimes. I can't honestly see Oprah stumping the Trump, but it'll be interesting, one way or another.

Now imagine yourself in a room with Oprah. Is there anyone in the country aside from the lolniggers crew who would be pissed off and rude to Oprah? That's like giving a mall Santa the finger in front of a line of kiddos.

Qualified/unqualified, whatever, but discount that woman's base appeal at your own peril.
 
Oh, she has plenty of it, but not anywhere near the amount she had in the 80s and 90s. Shows like Oprah and Maury are too normie for the normalfags now. It's really the old, the out of touch, and the stupid who watch shows like that, especially now in the era of cable cutting.

At best, she could muster a following consisting of 10% unironic followers, 30% people who are just mad at Trump and will hop on any boat that will take them away from him, and 60% of people doing it as a joke. Trump himself, not only had a vast majority of support from groundlevel republicans, but he had the dual appeal of being a ridiculous joke, and also one that, at worst, would get people what they want anyway. I don't know if Oprah could tie up all of those loose ends into a neat little bow like Trump did.

Even if she does, and becomes the world's answer to Donald, her (let's be real now I can make the presumption) party is weak, and getting weaker by the second. If things get really hairy in the next few years, the DNC might not be there to bankroll her.

Besides, at the end of the day, who cares, I get salt for my popcorn regardless.

My take exactly. The presidency has been pretty much solidified as a farce now anyways, so why not enjoy the slow-mo trainwreck a little while longer? And it's not like the DNC has any better choices in the pool at the moment, either. Hell, the Democrats are already balkanized.

At the very least, she'd be a better choice than Kanye West, who's just as much of an egomaniacal douchecanoe like Trump is, tbh.
 
So does that mean 2020 will be Oprah vs The Rock? Because I could get behind that.
 
I want Oprah to run for President and don't actually care who wins because neither Trump nor Oprah can work with Congress, and the salt would be real no matter what. I hope Trump wins though, because I would miss the whole "president dickwaving about nukes on twitter like a modern kruschev" thing
