This looks more like a Hollywood humiliation ritual to me than anything else, I'll never watch this movie and no matter how bad you feel for an actor, they all sell their souls eventually.

It's not just the left who have problems understanding 'depiction doesn't equal endorsement' and 'acting doesn't exist, it's just people doing things, and we should judge them for the behaviours of their characters'.

Yes, I am. Considering he's been out of work because some shitty producer sexually harassed him and blacklisted his career, I'm glad he's working again.

EEAAO wins a million statues and there's people out there who's reaction is "Not good enough, sweaty". These people won't be satisfied until every Best Picture movie is a diversely cast flick and the presenters of the Best Picture award look right at the screen and say "And to [screenname], you are valid!"

That's what bewilders me, I'm sorry but Everything is sitcom tier performances. That's what the film required but it wasn't some serious Oscar film.

Call me a snob, call me a lover of Oscar bait but Banshees is a real drama filled with great performances and a message. It was easily the most interesting film of the Oscars I've seen so far. And the woman who played Colin Farrell's sister deserved the Oscar way more. Going to watch Tar next because I like Cate Blanchett.

Wtf was even the point of that buttplug bullshit in Everything? That was the most obnoxious Rick & Morty shit in my mind.

Banshees is one of the best movies of 2022. EEAAO, on the other hand, would've worked better as a TV series than a legit Oscar-bait movie, and it honestly doesn't deserve a Best Picture win.
