Honestly they probably would have if this happened 10 years ago. But especially post will Smith I feel like the Oscars are a lot more willing to clamp down on rebel rousers. The fact they all but deleted the entire film from their usual award show jerking off shows they know they fucked up but they don't want to cross the bridge of going "fuck whomever you voted for, they can't be a nominee"

For them to boycott now when they're already treating the film and it's nominees worse than pro Muslim documentaries would just lead to much worse consequences for them. Especially if the fab five is already off the table. You know this will be the only year missing too. Boycotting an org already bending over backwards might lead to them instead doing a 180. Look how the GOP went from mitt Romney to trump.
