Not gonna lie, the only reason I even remember Overwatch 2 exists these days is when I’m bored scrolling through Youtube shorts and see people like Flats still try and say the games not that bad.

Watching people who made a career out of a game that’s now circling the drain try and cope is probably more entertaining than anything else this shit pile of a game has to offer.

Remember when people had hope that Microsoft buying ActiBlizz would improve the studios? Well so far all its done is remove Bobby Kotik as a scapegoat for Modern Devs just being kinda shit. At least Bobby was upfront about being in it for the money.

So how many characters are they making some flavour of rainbow brigade to distract from THIS dumpster fire, or have they ran out of straight characters already? Shit, at this rate having a straight character would probably be more diverse than the alphabet soup the cast is…

Doesn't Microsoft have a habit of leaving existing staff mostly where they are when they acquire gaming companies and let them have a good amount of autonomy? If that's the case Kotick may be gone but not much else may of changed.

ActiBlizz is a case study in why people need to stop blaming executives for everything bad about a video game and start holding the actual developers accountable. Again, at least the Execs are up front about being in it for the money.

Yeah, and in the case of 343 Studios, they should have tard-wangled them much, much earlier. (As early as the dumpster fire that was HALO 5).

MS fired I think 9000 people from Activision-Blizzard once they got absorbed. Someone pointed this dichotomy out to me recently - they panned the reasoning as "it's overlapping with what we have at MS" which wouldn't make sense if they want to leave ABK alone.

Not that I'm ever going to think about this character again after a week, but I'm just going to assume by default that this character is a girl, considering how being "non-binary" is predominantly a fashion trend among women. With a childish voice like that, I could buy into the character being an adolescent boy that's voice-acted by a woman as is often the case in animation, but given the recently-official exact ages given to all of the other human Overwatch characters, I expect Venture to be no younger than eighteen, well past puberty. The concept art shown off months ago also has some very feminine eyes.

That is easily the most fugliest character design I have seen in a while. Everything is proportioned wrong, the bitch is lanky with a tiny head and huge feet and hands. Sounds white as fuck and is yet a pajeet or whatever and the clothes drown the frame. Whoever designed this is and actually is retarded. I look at this character and I just feel offended instantly like who excavates a desert in a huge jacket but I guess QUIRKY.

The funny thing about blizzard is that they have been doing pozzed dei shit for a while now in their playable characters but they also made them conventionally attractive so they can sell sexualised skins to coomers for more money.

This Venture bitch has no chance of having a witch mercy or beach attire outfit cause everything of the design is visually bland and non sexualised so blizzard screwed themselves again.

Venture's voicelines, from what I heard, are annoying to listen to IMHO. The high pitched childish voice just adds to the frustration.

I mean, on the one hand, it feels like Disney is jumping into the trend way too late for it to matter - granted it not being a BR might make it stand out nowadays, so the fuck do I know.

On the other hand, Overwatch 2 probably serves as a “What NOT to do” guide as far as Disney is concerned.

On the third mutant hand, Marvel (read - the MCU) still has enough of a cult following that that game might not be completely DoA anyway.

Eh, if its Free I’d try it. Free-to-Play gives such a low bar for New Titles (key words there - new Titles. Not sequels that should’ve been a fucking update) that worst case if its complete dogshit I speedrun a ban and uninstall it.

Blizzard at least is a to the core rotten company. If you look at it's history there is something fundamentally wrong with it when it comes to putting out content which as only been made much worse over the past decade of woke and tourist devs/execs filling up its ranks. The only way to salvage that company is hand the ips off to an entirely different company or literally fire every last single person who works for Blizzard. If you look at its history it doesnt matter whose been in charge, even with old Kaplan running OW its content release cycle was absolutely glacial along with endlessly scrapping planned content.

Their designs have significantly gone downhill. Granted many of OW1's designs where cliche(a blonde angel/valkyrie? a guy in power armor? stereotypical soldier literally named soldier? a carbon copy of clint eastwood?) they at least looked good and well accepted concepts . Their recent ones? A roided up female freak with a stereotypical woke haircut? This uninspired pandering joke? Sad.

Ironically their best design was a diversity hire, Lucio.
