The funny thing about blizzard is that they have been doing pozzed dei shit for a while now in their playable characters but they also made them conventionally attractive so they can sell sexualised skins to coomers for more money.

'Conventionally' is doing a lot of work there. Remember these are the same people who wanted a female version of Roadhog for 'body representation'.

This Marvel game is certainly getting its own numbered universe designation where Galactus happens to be a waifu. As to why, I think it very obviously comes down to two reasons. First, the devs want the game's announcer to be a female voice, which is very typical of PvP games. Second, they want the ringmaster of the game's premise to be somebody who's powerful enough to be able to toy with all of the heroes in this manner, preferably an existing Marvel character with no plans of becoming playable down the road. Thus Waifu Galactus was born.

Now while I don't personally care for hero shooters, I do have to admit that the pseudo-anime artstyle of Marvel Rivals comes across to me as more appealing than Overwatch nowadays.

Just trying to see if it's worth looking into coming back with the new character and this is what you get, the absolute state of the game, a fucking pronoun check 5 seconds into the video too which is where I just stopped and read the comments to find what is going on. It seems to just be some ugly tranny who should have been gatekeep'd in a proper community who now exerts cancel and bullying power over the others instead of actual skill in the game. 2 hours is talking about faggy tranny nonbinary shit not related to the game, and then 15 minutes actually talking about the new character and her abilities.

The good thing is the comments are roasting everyone about this, with maybe 2 reddit faggots trying to defend mx'lady. But at this point instead of fixing the game Blizzard will just ban anyone who says "her" anywhere.

I've always had a problem with tunnel visioning on the biggest threat, you know, the tank. But now that there's Connie with a drill, Gay Circuit Party™, and IRL Anime, who to punch or stab is coded for me very helpfully by seeing what person in the game is nothing but a pandering device!

Thank you, blizzard, for giving me such diverse people to punch, stab, and shoot in your videogames.

EDIT: OK so I played drillkid and she's overtuned as expected, but also precisely the last thing I'd want for a genderspecialbait character. Fun character, but not sure that enbies are the best demographic for something this elaborate and skillful.
Her kit is complex. Her left click is like sigma, her movement mechanics and melee damage is a lot like doomfist, and she even has a charge mechanic when erupting out of the ground. So, yeah, she hits like a fucking truck right now and has the ability to move and protect herself and distract people, but that's a lot to juggle for somene who doesn't understand both fps and fighting games, never mind the MOBA-ishness of OW.

Troons, sure, troons are very good at video games. Of course watch the troon character be dead easy and extremely op.

On another level, it's weird how pixelated a lot of the in game art is, except for the tab screen portrait if you're playing her. COME ON BLIZZARD, that looks like SHIT.

Every time I see this character I want to seppuku, it's so fugly.

Tried her and her kit is honestly just a mess. She is ofc overtuned but will get nerfed because apparently, we are the test team now too. I have a theory no one is logging on to the PTR other than streamers so feedback is sparse. It's a kit that just does not seem to fit into a MOBA like game but neither do Kiriko or Lifeweaver so we are batting well.

The only "good" hero in 2.0 is Ramatra and that is debatable because we know Sojourn was designed ages ago as was Junker Queen. The only tell is his gameplay loop is not fun, it's not like D.Va or Sigma who have a nice scale with skill. Season 9 has been hot garbage While the changes to competitive were wanted, they could have been patched. Season 9 was my last attempt really with this game, I mostly play Tank with a dabble in support but support is a mess currently and dps qs take forever. Rather be playing Elden Ring or some other shit.
