Overwatch

The company literally had a “Cosby room” and had no privacy protection for the room allowed for breastfeeding. I know the whole “sexually assalted” accusations gets thrown around a lot, but Blizzard was literally a sterotype of the worst examples.
exactly. not inviting women to lunch, not promoting them and then have to work under their former colleagues, or telling them in reviews to react less emotional which they can only comment with "literally shaking" months later is so much worse ...

I think any version or example of you callling the business hotel room the “rape room” is probably a really really REALLY stupid idea, business-wise.
booking a hotel room to get wasted in during a convention is hardly "business", in case the fratboy tier name didn't make it obvious...

So did any crime happen in the Cosby room?
doesn't matter, it has the name and thus by association it means they're all rapists. isn't that how it works?
I'm also still waiting to hear what that dude's actual crime was.

The Cosby room thing happened a year before Hannibal Buress talked about Cosby being a rapist. Before that Cosby was just a meme. Blizzard is at fault for a lot of dumb shit but this isn't one of them.

Everytime i check in on Overwatch like most things Blizzard related i am reminded of how terrible this company is. They want to claim it was based on an outlaw (that i am sure their audience has never even heard of) but i am positive this is was just a quick decision so they pretend they were doing anything about the allegations.
They’ve definitely been doing a lot of those quick decisions lately.

I still don't understand what was bad about the "Cosby Suite" outside of its unfortunate joke naming in hindsight. If I understand the timeline of events correctly, while the accusations against Cosby has been around for a long time, this was before the public consensus that the accusations were true, correct?
They allegedly brought women over based on texts but AFAIK there’s no actual proof anyone was raped in there, nor has anyone claimed to have been raped in there. The only thing that keeps getting brought up is a photo of two female employees in the suite, one holding the other’s boob and the guys cheering in the background. When that could literally just be like… a bunch of drunk co workers fucking around lmfao.

Jesse McCree himself also hasn’t had any allegations specifically aimed at him AFAIK, all of this stems from just him being present in the “Cosby Suite.”

There’s genuine criticism to be had about Blizz and I don’t think the sexual harassment allegations are exaggerations or lies, but people like to hyper focus on the most retarded mundane shit sometimes, I swear.

It's insane how literally any association with any act of "sexual misconduct" instantly gets you branded as a straight-up rapist now. To an outsider who hadn't read up on the situation, you'd assume IRL Jesse McCree literally anally violated a woman or something. But no, it's just the usual extremely vague accusations and appearing in group-chats and pictures with the No-No People.

I think the problem is nowadays people are too quick to jump into situations based on assumptions. People see "allegations" and overequate it to someone forcibly violated another person even though there's clear distinct and specific terminology between someone being a sex offender of any kind and someone being accused of being a sex offender or allegations that someone might be a sex offender.

Of course Blizzard in this situation specifically is not helping by changing the name of a fictional cowboy in their video game who just so happened to be named after a guy who allegedly is involved in sexual harassment and misconduct.

don't forget getting wasted with groupies is haram these days (since it comes from a position of power). any fangirl/coworker willing to interact with a bunch of "celebrities" or superiors clearly didn't know what's gonna happen or never even planned for it, alcohol being used as a social lubricant is unheard of and when something happens it's clearly the equally wasted dude's fault worthy to #metoo him over.

as a reminder, the most cucked company in the most cucked state apparently had roving rapegangs spreading fear among the cubicles...

there probably is because in the end humans are humans, and being retarded is not limited to a single gender, but being the hive of scum and villainy everybody claims it is? and that's before you read the actual allegations and understand everyone involved literally is retarded (to the point california can't even run the case properly after a two year investigation before it blowing up in their face). not getting invited to lunch isn't sexism, they just didn't want to hang out with you.

that's why anyone trying to pull a reddit with "muh cRosby room" or "muh lactation rooms" is on the level of some CRT dipshit or "systemic racism/it's the patriarchy's fault" twittertard.

It also doesn’t help that they fired Jesse McCree with 0 information as to what he actually did aside from being in the Cosby Suite. Blizzard is going scorched earth in general erasing every reference to an IRL person in all of their games. They’re removing Jeff Kaplan’s name from Overwatch 2 maps I think? Just because in their autistic mind the solution is obviously to close your eyes and pretend you dindu nuffin, than like… not hiring degenerates lmao. And Jeff hasn’t done anything either, he has 0 allegations against him and he’s still a darling to the Overwatch fandom, reportedly the OW team itself had nothing to do with this mess (Jesse McCree never worked on OW BTW, he was just a high ranking Blizz employee.)

Funny thing is that among all those allegations the most vivid was some girl suiciding because of "harassment". Sounds awful, but if you read the details...She was in apparent relationships with her boss (not a great idea already), who showed everyone around pics of her pussy (like gal, you are sending your boss the pictures of your vag, what can possibly go wrong). They were on business trip and he has a didlo with him, like OK, if you are kinda dating? Everything I see here is a poor but batshit stupid woman who was in unhealthy relationships with her boss. Is it a really "systematic harrasmen" or "sexual predator" case?

I never liked Kaplan, but that shit with erasing the names of people who created what bliz currently has reminds me the US war on its on history. The company in its origin has been a bunch of bros who loved making games, and they did great. Everything modern bliz does is parasitizing on what those guys did, because pink-haired troons can't make anything decent (as we can see they suck even at giving McCree a new name lol).

will still call him McCree. what they gonna do? ban me?
At some point of the time I assume they will ban the word on the forum and official plebbit, also they may introduce the auto filter (I stopped playing their shit after HK so I dunno can you still say nigga there?). But banning...I don't think so.

Cole Cassidy was thought in a weekend and it sounds stupid no matter what they think it's referencing

Yeahy i heard the name change was just them being petty just like removing Kaplan from OW2 maps. The Jesse thing may have some weight even though it's incredibly limited but removing Kaplan just because he does't work at the company is some child like mannerisms.

I might be wrong but it’s not just the fact he quit and they’re being petty, they’re going on a general crusade to erase every mention of an IRL person from their games, allegation or not. Because you can’t trust people to not be outted as sexual deviants in the future I guess lol. They even considered removing the Reckful NPC but even Blizzard understood how autistic of a move that would be.

Blizzard ain’t having any better luck.

Didn’t they also change a character’s name because it was a reference to an Ace Ventura villain? You know the one…
