Overwatch

I've been playing her a lot on the PTR. I'm probably going to be playing her a lot when it goes live. You'll like the changes - she's just as aggressive as she always was, but this time won't melt. The skill ceiling for her just shot up a couple of stories as there's going to be a lot of strategy as to where you weave your Defensive Matrix into play. Her ult changes are pretty fun too: she doesn't die to her own ult anymore so when you drop it on the point and force people to scatter, you can follow up and force them to fight you or go out of cover to get a face full of explosion.
I personally think the change to Defense Matrix is just a good thing overall. It kinda sucks if you blow your Defense Matrix because Junkrat and Bastion are annoying fucks but then you don't have it up when JUSTICE RAINS FROM ABOVE. Having it up all the time and just having it expire from overuse seems to be a good thing, since you generally don't need the full D.Va Defense Matrix to absorb what's shooting at you.

The main complain I'm seeing about Ana is that she doesn't have any headshot bonus making the scope very useless , I have see people winning match with her without using the scope

I hope they fix that

Mei is a total pain to go against, everyone I encounter who plays as her always kills me with the old one-two, freeze mode then finish off in icicle mode. I personally prefer Roadhog.

I heard the scope makes it so shots are hitscan rather than projectiles, though I'm guessing the benefit doesn't counteract the lack of headshots?

Did not know abouy the hitscan, that would make healing and sniping more efficient, she has to compensate for low damage and a lack of a movement skill (the trailer lied)

Turns out I can't play this anyway since it doesn't run on Macs, though I'll probably buy it for the PS4 at some point.

Also does anyone else enjoy the emotes as much as I do, particularly Junkrat's? He's such a ham and I love it.

I'm a particular fan of Lucio and Mei's, just because they're my little balls of sunshine, but I like Junkrat's too! Really, I just got drawn to the game at first because of it's saturday morning cartoon kind of look, and I'm a sucker for that kind of stuff. 'u'

I prefer Reinhart & symetra. However I seem to have a knack at being an offensive Zenyatta. If you play sneaky and smart you can kill everyone pretty fast.

sneaky and smart in my case means not making it obvious that I am around. Not tanking. Essentialy its like trying to kill steal stuff.

Did a few practice runs and A.I. battles on my boyfriend's copy yesterday.

Would definitely need more training before I participated in an actual PVP match. Reinhardt and Tracer were the ones I had the least amount of trouble with. Then again, I didn't go through every hero, so I'll have to save my complete assessment for another time.

I mostly run Tracer/Pharrah for Attack, Mei/Tobjorn for Defense D.VA/Reindhart for Tank and Ana/Mercy for support.

I don't see the point in playing AI at all. You'll learn best just jumping into quick match. Quick match is casual, it's not like you're playing competitive.

A 1.6g patch is up on the Bnet launcher today, so it's likely very soon, for PCs at least. It might be delayed on consoles because of certification.

I prefer to embarrass myself in front of as few people as possible, thank you very much.
But also they can't see your KD, so as long as you're playing the objective, you'll be fine and likely nobody is gonna call you out. You can also play with the chat off. You'll just learn the ropes way faster.

Ana patch is live. Quick Play is gonna be weird for a few days as I haven't had a game yet with fewer than two on each team. Zen's buff feels nice but McCree's buff kinda counteracts it - McCree just deletes Zen from Zen's effective range.
