Any way of checking if this is a legit Facebook account and not somebody's burner? If this is legit I'd love to read more of this individual's "wisdom."
Teachers are not parents. Stop thinking they are, actual parents.
Satire works best with some truth sprinkled in.Anybody who rolls their eyes at this like "It's ridiculous to be afraid of harmless grade schoolers" Go teach in one of those schools. I double dog dare you.
I'd give it a week before you were curled up in the corner of the classroom sobbing, and begging for a transfer to a school in a rich, white suburb.
Hey, just because one of em may be of legal age to drink in philly, doesn’t mean you should discriminate.I think the problem here is not all the first graders are 5 years old. Some of them are bound to have been held back.
Awww, com'on guys, they were just chillin out, maxin'-relaxin' all cool, and shootin some b-ball outside of the school.
Its just some guys who were up to no good, and started causing trouble in the neighborhood!
I’m fine with this if we make it legal for the teachers to fight back.
Make this school to Africa/Mexico pipeline instead.Behavior like this is why the school to prison pipeline exists.
At my old high school, we had resource officers walk around with that shit in case a fight or such broke out. It didn’t really change much tbh although a bunch of kids got pepper sprayed one day…Dad mentioned to me once that he'd like to be a teacher in a rough school like this. I asked why. He said, "because no one yells louder than an ex drill sergeant."
I don't always see eye to eye with him, but on this I did.
Joking aside, I'm thinking it might be a good idea for teachers at these schools to have tazers or tear gas. To better acclimitize Trayvon and Da'quan to what the rest of their lives will consist of.
And she says 'Maybe you should think about a change in career'you get in one little fight and your mom gets scared
Welcome to public schools in any major city.Hey, welcome to Philly!

Edit: Def. a burner, probably just used for comment sections on articles. Too bad.![]()
I, too, would love to execute teenagers for acting out. /sneed
But in all seriousness, it's possible these kids might have mental health issues or problems at home if they're acting out so badly that they injure teachers. Or maybe they are just brats... the article is very vague. But instead of being a pussy and saying "the kids hurt me im gonna resign!!11!!11", maybe school staff (such as guidance counselors) could... y'know... try to help the children in some way? The article is very vague so the situation isn't presented.
Then again, the public school system is hell and they only claim that they want to help because if it weren't for those kids' parents paying taxes, the school wouldn't even be funded.
Sorry if this seems A-Loggy.
I'm sure the Eagles will enjoy their new crop of loyal fans, though.Welcome to public schools in any major city.
Least we have some god damned good food.
So the city is doing well right now on a lot of aspects, theres some old rough areas getting young families hipsters and starting professionals.
It's this shit that is going to kill the city and it's so dumb they are building etc, Philly will sink in 5 years. There's a lot of burbs that are reasonable priced and the school systems are lord of the flies the congo edition. All those hipsters who "feel the people" and push this shit will not let their kids in these schools and good, no one should send their kid to a philly public school, it's like Kae Sahn but no air strikes. So what will they do? Move. Tax money drops as the home owners in new up and coming areas bail. These young families don't have the cash to afford private and our charter system is just too small.
Our public schools are broke anyway it's a no win situation and it's because we just dump money into the cause of the problem.
This doesn't fall under just Philly, many major cities have had this happen to them, hell it's happened to this area before FFS.
