How is piracy for it, does it have a need to connect to a central server? DRM?

Works fine as far as I know, no online verification or Denuvo or anything. Just the usual stuff like using Steamless on the exe and a crack like Goldberg and all that. There's a couple issues when it comes to going online in terms of ID, I think you want to change the emulator's default SteamID. Otherwise you'll wind up using the character of anyone else who connected to the server using that same emulator's default ID, rather than a new character.

I found a baller spot on top of a tall ass finger of rock in the Verdant Brooks area that has multiple respawning iron and coal rocks and promptly set up a sweatshop there. It's right near a camp with a caged Pal but I'm not sure you can even get up there without a flying Pal.

I ended up catching a grunt just to see what would happen. It's pretty funny how the game says that capturing humans is "generally frowned upon." Doesn't stop you from going and selling them on the black market. I haven't tried the butcher knife on him...

Kinda hard because I'd say I have a list of ~5 that I like relatively equally, but Cawgnito probably stands at the top. It's a neat design, he's a li'l quirky, but also still manages to be both cute and a little cool. But most important of all, he has probably the best animations in the game.

The studio ended being hired to make multiple 40k games.
Maybe this will be the start of a profitable relationship between Nintendo and the Palworld studio.

I caught this entirely by accident while raiding a Syndicate Base to free an entirely different Pal, and Jesus fucking Christ, he just absolutely wrecks all kinds of shit.

And his special ability is to just get more pissed off.

Between him and using the little. Lightning genie gremlin’s special ability to hover beside you and also attack, I am just destroying any base and wild Pal I see.

I'm a big fan of Tocotoco, it's just a toucan that loves the finer things in life and blowing itself to smithereens. I like to think that the one Im currently raising is doing all this because likes to share those things. With his precious ass gifts.

And while I am iffy on the design I have to admit having Lovander working in your bases is surprisingly suitable. It has Lv. 2 Handiwork, Medicine Production, and Transporting and has Lv. 1 Mining.

You can find 'em at the No. 2 Wildlife Sanctuary just west of the Forgotten Island warp point, you'll need a ridable Pal that can swim or fly to get to that part of the map.

A word of warning though: the Pals are Lv. 40+ there, PIDF forces (I saw PIDF Elites there when I checked it out) are present, and you can the Wanted status for being noticed by the latter.

I keep saying it the people complaining about Dexit a minority but most importantly because Dexit is never the issue. The issue is bad games. Which is why you can have spin off games that don’t care about the number of mons and instead focus on the quality of a limited roster that do well and that people like. And if anything relying on the the completed roster usually has shown that GF has no ideas and is actually using the roster to shield themselves. SWSH was the first time they took the roster away and there wasn’t quality underneath it. And noticeable before that with XY and SM the games people felt a decline on unusually had everything available from the start. Which were honestly the big warning lights.

Honestly, I hope Palworld never goes above a few hundred available at max at any one time. Pokemin game seem to suffer if they do

God I hope so. Or if not I hope they add it. Fighting Pals in the air would be so fun. And it would be yet again something players wanted in Pokemon but never got.

What kind of concurrent player counts do you have and what hardware are you using? What’s performance/bandwidth use like? How often does it need restarting? I assume that being so new there are no decent server tools for it and is like the early days of Valheim with shitty scripts doing everything and little to no automation?

I haven't seen any jetpack blueprints but you can fly on the backs of bird Pals and even use them to attack while airborne. There's a pretty early one you can get and make the saddle for at level 15.
