Palworld - Everything you have ever wanted from a Pokemon game

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I am migrating the server over to a new VPS for technical reasons. On Friday at 18:00 pm EST, I will doing the last steps of the migration. I would like for as many players as possible to join to stress test the server.

To incentivize this, I will be holding a server wide event from 18:30 Friday to 22:00 Saturday at which point the server will reboot again. Any players can join in the event, even new ones.

To better participate in the event, players should:
-Have a weapon with range such as a bow or cross bow with a significant stockpile of ammo.
-Have a large stockpile of pal spheres.
-Only have items in their inventory, and pals in their party they are willing to lose
-Have as few Pals in their party or pal box as possible while ensuring they can maneuver the map.
-Have their last location in an area appropriate to their level, and far away from any players not in their guild.

What do people mean by "alpha variant" exactly? The boss ones?
The Boss Variants, yes. “Alpha” is a carryover name for Pokemon in Legends: Arceus that were giant versions of regular Pokemon.

Not a problem. Hopefully that will help with the jank I was experiencing. Really hard rubber banding and randomly getting 120+ ping. Figured it was just Early Access problems to get ironed out.

So I have learned that +2 undershirts may be straight busted. Even in my cold resist armor and after the temperature stacking update, there's no heat that's too hot for the +2 heat resist undershirt. I'm sure it works the same with the cold one.

Patch is great and I actually don't mind passives being guaranteed to be passed down with 100% accuracy. Gonna nab that Ferocious + Swift + Runner and mix it with Musclehead ASAP.
Digtoise is actually fucking busted for mining right now. The 0 star alpha I snagged in a 18 dungeon mines ores as fast as the pre-patch 5 star I have on my first save.
Pathing has been greatly improved, but my PoV might be biased since the new save has bases placed basically right next to each other with everything (including the Palbox) being built on wooden foundations. Perfectly flat surface. I still managed to have Ragnahawk get stuck in the ground somehow.
Knowing the game inside and out to no one's surprise made the second playthrough much easier. I had more than enough supplies for a stady flow of cakes and pancakes, the only issue was Arsox being too slow at baking. Since I already scratched the surface of Mount Obsidian (had to dip because it was too hot) I decided to return at night to see if I couldn't find a Blazehowl Noct, but they were all lv35+, so I was only plinking them and taking full HP of damage in return, with 10% capture rate on yellow spheres. Gave up and went egg hunting since I remembered them being plentiful. Lo and behold out of 9 large eggs I got 6 Pyrins, 2 Pyrin Nocts, and 1 Ragnahawk I mentioned earlier. With the kindling booster building the cooking is now super fast, only a matter of time until I get a perfect killing machine again. Also found green pistol blueprints which surprisingly I could craft at a weapon workbench. Guess all my cash is going to go into bullets now. Might buy the makeshift handgun from Fisherman's Point too, fuck the musket and its 10 second reload time.

Rooby's tail still wags when it's K.O.'d. The results are horrifying. Try it!
*Edit: I've noticed a few others flop around. Not sure if it's an issue with the update or if I just now noticed it. Also another another update just got pushed out which changed passive inheritance and condensation of an enhanced pal carries over the essence from the pals it comsumed

All Pals do their wiggle waggle while defeated. Stay near a KO'd Chillet long enough and you'll see its ears wiggle.

Today at 18:00 EST the server goes down. At 18:30 EST it should be back up and an event will start that runs through Saturday.

Any advice for someone who's hitting a wall when it comes to grinding EXP? I'm in the mid-thirties or so and it's becoming pretty tedious to have to farm supplies for good orbs and then catch a bunch of pals for a single level.

Tower bosses, Sealed Dungeon bosses, overland bosses/alphas. Breed rare pals that you don't have 10/10'd yet. In general, catch shit that isn't 10/10.

Back up. Expect frequent crashes throughout the event. If you are suicidal you can try catching legendries.

edit: Pals may be slow to load in your area. This is normal, and I'm working on it.

Took a month and a half but I think I've more or less had my fill. Hatched FOUR Fero/Muscle/Swift/Runner Lovanders in a row on the second save, and despite her being 15 levels below me and at least 10 levels below everything she tackles, she can kill virtually everything without me even lifting a finger. Kind of makes stuff a little boring. All that's really left is getting 4x 4* Cremises with at least Vanguard and Motivational Leader and a 4* Hangyu. Not using flying mounts turned out to be completely irrelevant, btw. Hangyu and grappling guns work just as well, even better sometimes, especially since I don't need any passives on him (movement speed ones do nothing for glider Pals). Good amount of hours squeezed out considered how cheap the game is.

Hot damn. That is a decent amount of time.

I still need to beat up the last tower boss myself, but I have grown a little bored with the game at this point. Not to say it isn't good, but I think it'll need a few updates to spice things up before I come back in a serious fashion. In the meantime, I have been revisiting old games like Company of Heroes to pass the time.

Maybe in a few months, we'll get to see some major mods deployed for the game. That'd be nice.
