Palworld - Everything you have ever wanted from a Pokemon game

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
This game will either go the Ark direction (people whining about losing the original focus and the game turning into a bloated mess), Valheim direction (people whining about the sluggish pace of new updates and the devs buying a pony or some shit), Bannerlord direction (people whining about the game failing to meet expectations on release with a bunch of half-baked features) or the Dayz direction(people whining about the core devs fucking off and leaving a skeleton crew to deal with it).
Either way we get thousands of people whining and falling for Early Access slop a full decade after this trash system was unleashed on Steam.

"I can't believe the devs in an early access game that people want because its a remix of two other things expect you to already know about the two other things" . Lol what a salty fag, Sorry you were like 10 years to late with your goofy cartoon game, bro.

I'm probably gonna pick this up some time in the future when I have more free time. I've been out of Pokémon every since the before the first switch ones. I swore them off after Gamefreak got caught in the lie that "we're making all new hi-rez pokemon models, we just can't get them all in" and then people found out they were just upscales of the 3DS models. The cash grab just became too obvious.

Pardon me, I'm trying to gauge how online this game is before I buy so I have a question. I'd like to play this game online with one other friend, but really don't want nobodies who no-lifed the game destroying everything that we built in raids. Is there any such "pussy" mode that restricts online play this way? Looking to play on Steam by the way.

There's no "servers", you just open a world and play with your buddies using invite codes. It's strange I'm seeing so many people assuming this is a Fallout 76 situation where roving autists will just eat your shit like a horde of locusts. The game even warns against playing with too many people because it's clearly held together by some sort of miracle, I think the max you can have in a world at any time is four. There's this weird Guild system that I'm not really aware of the point of, as well.

TL;DR, there's no playing with randos unless you post your invite code on fucking twitter or something.

Was this something a lot of people were genuinely waiting for or did this just come out of nowhere? I don't follow vidya stuff that close but I feel like i've gone from not hearing a thing about it to seeing a bunch of my pals either talking about it or playing it.
YouTubers got invites early. All it took was a whisper of 'Pokémon with guns and slave labour' and even the most reluctant millennial ear pricked up. The WHO wishes they could spread something this fast.

I'm playing it and am really enjoying it in spite of it being very clearly early access. Devs shamelessly ripped all the good gameplay elements from a load of recent games and slapped them together. It's ARK (tech access, levelling and pokemon instead of dinos), Zelda, (tablets, towers, traversing) Elden Ring (there's a church structure that's just missing one giant tortoise, a gold area, a red area, evergaels and probably more I haven't seen) and likely loads more made up of even more straight steals.

It's got absolutely no right being as good as it is.

Also pals look better than Pokémon. Sorry Nintendo, they did an aesthetic directors cut on your designs, they trimmed out the visual bloatware and made some really cool, clean monsters out of the overly complex mess of your catalog.

It also plays better on my old PC than ARK. It hasn't crashed once and the glitches are minor and forgivable for early development.

In fact, the only kid that handed in homework that scored higher than the copy cat was Zelda. Honestly I fear for the future of the class....

My wife has put a few hours into the game and has really enjoyed it. I have been watching here and there and a couple things about the Xbox version need to be cleaned up.

* Theres a lot of frame drops, its not game breaking but it frequently falls below 30fps

* The aim speed slider is broken. The game camera pan on controller is painfully slow, like 20 seconds to fully 360 around a character.

* Some textures seem very low res, especially enviroments.

*Pals at a distance switch from smooth 60fps to 3 FPS slideshows

Overall it looks like fun, we were both big fans of co-op ARK so this looks like a chill game to play with her when I get time. Shes a huge Pokemon nerd and really likes the designs, the Eevee knockoff has been a favorite, along with the baby elephant.

The longer I'm looking at this the more I'm getting Lost Ark vibes. Let's see how the player retention holds out.

When this game got announced years ago I thought it was going to be one of those scam Korean mmos, I was really surprised to see it pop up on gamepass.

Early game your damage output is nonexistent compared to your pals, but once you get the makeshift guns it starts to match up as long as you havent been soul enhancing your pals.

Makes me wonder how things will scale with both maxed out pals and maxed out weapons.

On a related note, I dont see any kind of way to apply status effects with the player beyond the crossbows and the stun baton, so Im guessing these actually scale pretty decently into endgame.
Late 20s crossbows fall off and musket moves the health bar but is dangerous because loading animations and therefore even lower DPS than it should be.

There are also public 32 people servers on Steam at least but yeah you can just use friendcodes.

Trannies are absolutely seething and dilating.

This is just a shakedown. You have to give them their cut, signal their politics, and give them a cushy job on the team or else they'll try to ruin you. You can't just make something that is innocent fun. They want you to always have to go through them first and get their ok. Disgusting people.

Thanks a ton, I was just reading about people getting raided randomly so I just wanted to be sure.

My man up there corrected my retardation but yeah, you're probably seeing people talk about the AI raids, which are janky and silly until they stop being so, but you can turn them off if they really get on your nerves.

Its just the 2024 Hogwarts game. Trannies will seethe and dilate but the game will (and has) sell millions of copies quietly.
