Palworld - Everything you have ever wanted from a Pokemon game

Shield's icon is a bit misleading, I thought it'd be something like a portable, throwable generator creating a dome you can hide inside but it's just a regular-ass second, rapidly regenerating health bar. Shouldn't have skipped crafting it. It's been a while since I wanted to stay up late to play something, but work is work. At least I have an endless source of berries thanks to Legally Distinct Piplup and Legally Distinct Grotle, while Legally Distinct Flareon crafts all the ore into ingots. I don't know what Depresso's deal is, he automatically assigned himself to the quarry and is constantly tired and unhappy. Hot Springs was suppoed to alleviate that, but I don't know how to use it.

Best place to farm ore and coal right here.

Has multiple ore and coal deposits that regenerate. Grab a Digtoise and either craft a collar or put him to work on the base and you’re golden.

They'll use the hot springs when they need to, but the AI is so braindead retarded they may have a hard time getting to it properly. Especially if there's other built stuff around. I made a cute little rest area for my dudes and they never used it, so I slapped one straight on the ground and they use that.
I have to say I built on a waterfall overlooking the spawn area and have a bridge cutting through my base, and they do navigate that well and only fall off/glitch occasionally. I've also been impressed with the wild creature ai being able to navigate around rocks and hills to come get your ass.

The human AI is somehow more retarded and will literally just stand still and face the wall for me to put a crossbow bolt into the back of his head and has made base camp raiding and dungeons a snorefest, but otherwise I'm really enjoying this game.

Lots of little details I'd like to see worked on but for an early access game I've gotten my $28 worth of entertainment out of it and I'm still enjoying it and 90% of the pals ive seen are 10/10. ive been trying to take it slow and explore and trying to not to spoil what different pals there are so they are new and exciting when I see them.

I know why people are saying Nintendo/GF might sue or whatever because of the creature designs, but tbh this is such a carbon copy clone of ARK:SE I feel like i could run both of them at the same time with a single controller.
But even with all the bugs PW has, it's somehow leas buggy than a game that's been out for a decade and less buggy than the "remake" they just released lmao

I've got some small complaints in general..I think it's silly you can slap down an infinite stone/wood pit anywhere. Would be cool if you had to snap them over an existing stone pile or something at least. Make planning out your base a little more strategic maybe. And since you get multiple bases it wouldn't be much of an issue.

Anyways. I will protect dinossom with my life. Leezpunk is an absolute treasure. Celeray must be protected at all costs. And I will sing from the heavens about total purple deer supremacy (it double jumps and is generally just a good mount)
I'd like to see them work on the flying though. Kinda feels like ass.

What's the Dev's plan with Palword? I saw on the steam announcements that he's going to add PVP. One thing I would want is the incentive to keep your pals rather than replacing/disposing them like items. I'm not a huge Pokémon guy, but that's one of the things I wish they took inspiration from.

I think the incentive to keep earlier-game pals is that you can more easily find them in bulk, allowing you to rank them up easier in the condenser. That said, I agree. It'd be great if there was a way to upgrade the work skills of your pals so they could keep up with later ones.

Does putting them through the retard squisher not level up their skills too 🤔?
(Haven't used it much yet tbh)

I had no idea there was a justice system in this. Started smacking a "skilled survivor" with a bat and when he had a sliver of hp, I noticed a YOU'VE BEEN SPOTTED notification, so I hastily captured the guy and legged it towards the base, because the game spawned 4 level 24 gun-toting cops that started chasing my ass as a big WANTED: ASSAULT appeared on my HUD. I don't know whether they're on a timer and fuck off on their own after a while or did I simply manage to reach my base without making contact or taking damage from them.

Now I have a human in my Palbox who I don't know what to do with. Also there used to be this level 3 dude sitting by a campfire near the starting location, but he disappeared after a raid of "man-eating Pals", so I can only assume he got ate.

Didn't know the game had that, wonder if there's a way to pay it off or serve a sentence?

It always surprises that all thewse game devs bitching about how hard it is or how bad their job is don’t just go solo. Industry standard tools are moreorless free, there are a billion ways to get people to pay you money and you get to be your own boss, work to your own time and get paid whatever you want.

But they just won’t
I mean I can kind of speak to that. A lot of those people bitching are the lazy ones who secretly know they can't make it on their own. The other big group are those who are just too risk adverse to do it. Especially those who are older and have things like a mortgage and family. I don't blame that group at all. If I had a wife and kids I wouldn't want to put them through financial instability to chase a dream.

So I will say that in my own game dev groups though none of the dev I know have been shitting on this game. There's been some chuckles about how they did stuff (we had a good laugh about their lack of source control earlier), but overall the response from everyone I've talked to has just been happy for the team's success. These are just your average non-twitter addicted game devs for context. Most are still addled by leftist progressive brain rot, but they aren't acting like the twitter spurges and hating the game for imagined reasons.

There was a SMITE dev being really pissy about the game too, from what I saw.

Interestingly enough, that black French dev from the game awards making the Blade game had a thread on Twitter that essentially said “anyone saying this game was made with AI is an idiot who doesn’t understand AI.” So that was pretty cool.

I don't like Japan and don't give a shit about Pokemon, and I believe piracy against garbage companies is a moral imperative, but I'm going to buy this game at full price just to reward the based Japs for including slave labor to produce weapons and to trigger the weeb faggots pretending this game is plagiarism.
