Palworld - Everything you have ever wanted from a Pokemon game

Finally got around to playing the game and it's a lot of fun.
I thought the bitching would die down by now but some youtubers and gaming outlets picked up the story and oh boy, I watched a review by the former and he was so blatantly wrong by claiming nintendo was building a case against then and were waiting until pocket pair got more money from sales so they would pay them more. Then parroting the whole "stolen/copied" models, this was all accompanied by some footage of the guy playing on hard and sucking at the game. You would think this guy is a pokemon fanboy but no, he starts the video by saying he has hated pokemon for years now and that the franchise peaked with gen 5.
I wonder how much of this is lack of research and how much is malice because I simply can't understand all these people foaming at the mouth at an indie game doing well and its players having fun.

If they add more Pals via updates, I hope they add in some ghost Pals/some sort of ghost element to the game. Ghost typing is my favorite Pokemon type, and I'd like to see some spooky Pals while out and about exploring the world.

What's your favorite pals? I'll start.

I love their designs. Got my ass knocked out in one attack by Jormungandr when I first encountered him. I wasn't trying to fight him, I was exploring part of the map, climbed on top of the colossal whale skeleton near where he spawns, fell into the water, couldn't get out and drowned due to stamina running out. I kept going back to that spot and the cycle repeated a few times (my dropped items bag would always be on top of the skeleton, I'd try to climb, run out of stamina, fall into the water, and drown lol ). Finally got my items at one point and while gliding towards land, ol' Jormy shows up and one shots me, so I had to go back for the items one last time.

10/10 would get one hit KO'd by him again.

Hatching eggs or breeding eggs?
He wants it in the volcano area for hatching ONLY. I assume so he doesn't have to warm the eggs but sucks if you have a cold or neutral pal you want to breed.

I'm arguing to keep it in a neutral zone and we can have breeding area as well as leaving some space for everyone to do their own little build there.

While the other two bases can be/remain resource and production.

I was on the fence about buying Violet & Scarlet, decided to buy this instead, best decision I've made all year LMAO, this game is amazing, and my old PC is capable of running it just fine, I've only played a few hours and made a small base and captured some Lamballs, the Pal desings are so much better than current Pokémon ones.

Going up some stairs and out of a cave to reveal a big vista
...Was in Craftopia, not Palworld, and it was absolutely copying the cutscene's scenery and camerawork as close as they could manage. Think of it like someone making a budget movie and copying scenes from another movie. They got ridiculed for it, but it's not something that remotely affects how you play the game. they could have done without the whining. Still shameful to copy an iconic opening scene from a popular video game that came out recently, but at least the game itself doesn't follow suit. It's like the Palworld thing, though. Copies some superficial aspects and then delivers an entirely different game.

Bought the game recently and enjoying it

However the hauler AI seems to bug out a fuckload especially on overlapping berry fields where theyll infinitely drop and pickup items unless theres some way to make them haul to a certain box I havent unlocked yet.

Ai pathfinding is definitely still early access

Spacing things out more helps with the overlap. That or building a box right next to it.

I had one base that had a similar problem with the berry plantations, while the other base worked just fine. I think it might have been a result of where I placed my feedbox, since I believe that's where the Pals prioritize hauling food items. You might try putting one close or moving the current one into a place that has more open area around it, in addition to adjusting the fields themselves.

I checked my Steam stats and I've played Palworld for around 80 hours. And I'm finding it a hell of a lot better than 80 hours of current-patch Pokémon Scarlet/Violet.
I've been loving the game so much. Quivern and Cremis are so precious. I love the simple designs a lot too, for me it helps them have more personality in the way they act and their animations.

HOWEVER, if I hear one more dickhead on YouTube say that "they clearly stole the giant tree from Elden Ring" I'm gonna fucking scream.

Nigger that is one of the biggest standard JRPG tropes for the last 20 years behind Kill God/Power of Friendship.

Let alone it is blatantly a Norse mythology reference.

Sorry I had to seethe about that one thing.
It would make much more sense to have the tree as the center of the world, instead of awkwardly tucked into the corner. Maybe they are planning to slowly expand the map around it as the time go, idk.
Funny you should mention the tree, it's a fully-modeled location in the game but it's inaccessible due to a red wall. Well, it's technically inaccessible because of the wall, you can clip past the wall but then you hit an unavoidable hitbox that prevents you from going forward. It's also worth mentioning that the tree is mentioned in the opening cutscene when starting a new game so the devs clearly have a plan for it that involves you going to it, it's just not in the game yet due to it being early access.

And here's a video of someone using a glitch to bypass the barrier. Someone in the comments section mentions that if you manage to teleport to the top of the tree you end up dying automatically.

Could be the location of that one data mined Pal that people were screaming that it ripped off Mewtwo.

Am I crazy, because I always thought that Mewtwo was a rip off of Freiza (DBZ).

So it's just copy of a copy of a copy of a copy.

But also, that Pal looks way cooler than Mewtwo or any of his variants. And my initial thought when I saw the picture with out context was that it was potentially an alt of Lunaris.

A ton of Pokemon are based off mythical animals through history and lore, ect ect. It’s really stupid people think The Pokemon Company owns the concept of “green monkey” or “bipedal rabbit” or “sheep”.

That makes it even worse. So a different game copies a since scene from a popular, this means Palworld is bad according to man who's studio is known for one game, a DOTA knock off.

There already is. The Dark element, and there are ghostly pokemon like DaeDream.
