Finally was able to beat the Bellanoir Liberia raid boss legitimately on my own rather than using that pre-update campfire exploit. Got it down to the wire but was able to pull it off.

That new one is still massively kicking my ass though.

I finally realized that the power up fruits "only" increase IVs, and you can "only" use them to maximize the stats, so breeding a perfect one becomes significantly easier. Only gotta worry about sex/alpha status/traits now, which is a cakewalk compared to IVs. No more setting for a 30% decrease in stats.
I also somehow either completely missed the big power generator or they stealth-added it in an update. A base consisting of 4 orserks, 1 gen and 2 oil extractors needs nothing more.
I appreciate the container storage blacklist, too. I was going insane seeing Pals somehow manage to put mined/crafted mats in chests on otherwise inaccessible cliffs while completely ignoring the large cargo container I set up specifically to store everything that's made in the base itself.
Oh and the 25% defense buff to summoned Pals is really fantastic. My Lovander actually can put that lifesteal to use. They seem to have buffed the 4 star stat bonus as well because she absolutely fucking annihilates anything that's not a hardmode boss. I might start breeding an Anubis for backup just in case, especially if the final tier glider ends up being similar in performance to a Hangyu.
I managed to find the oil rig. Made the mistake of approaching from above. Lasers fried me pretty much immediately.
Lastly, there's something fucky with the stats of those ninja enemies, because a lv42 goon literally onetapped my lv53 4 star Jetdragon.

Just finishing my week off from work and finally tried out most of the new content. My thoughts in no particular order:
Oil is painfully slow even with four rigs going once I learned how to cheese the placement and put two per node.
I have two ranches just for HQ Pal Oil from Dumuds now because my need for circuit boards is no longer sustainable from just killing Mammorests.
I'm looking forward to the next content update where I hope we get buildable quartz mines. Or I may just dismantle the base at the meme plateau since the other buildable mines render it kinda moot. I just hate reorganizing.
The people on other sites I've seen bitching about the difficulty of the oil rig just need to gitgud or get a legendary rocket launcher, which makes it hilarious.
The lightweight plasteel armor looks great on the female model.
Can't decide which pal to max out next (so far have two Jormuntide Ignis for smelting/baking, an Anubis for crafting, a Mozzarina and Chikipi for food stuff, and a Katress and Wixen for fighting because they look cool). Might do stickfrog (can't remember the name at the moment)
Noticed some odd collision bugs with certain bits of geography.
New tower boss was too easy. Took her down first try just swapping between a rank 1 Jetragon and my rank 5 Katress and still using the legendary combat shotgun with four minutes to spare.
Anybody played with the new weapons yet? Plasteel takes forever and a day to wait for because of the oil bottleneck and I'm not sure I want to make that kind of time investment for a marginal upgrade since I just got that legendary rocket launcher and it's fun as hell.

Capture a wandering merchant that sells it.

Green laser rifle is like a rapid fire musket with double the shot power and 20% the reload. Just yesterday I finally got enough materials to craft a legendary flamethrower, will test today how viable it really is.

Tested the flamethrower. Not impressed. Took down Bellanoir Libero in about 5 minutes with help from my Lovander. DPS seems to be around 3k. Ammo efficient, but can't score weakspot hits and the limited range is annoying. Every puff scores like 5 DoT ticks which are as strong as direct burn.

Bosses, no. Unless you mod it back in. Humans yes. Though do not expect them to be of any use unless they're a merchant. Ninjas will still just punch shit.
