You know, when Nintendo sued PP i remember reading somewhere that one of the reasons Nintendo did it was because they said "Palworld was damaging their brand", but look at that, just a few weeks later we have have this massive Pokemon leak, and one of the things on said leak was a bunch of lore full of rape and bestiality, if that's not something that would "damage their brand" i don't know what is :story:

You'd be surprised how retarded Pokémon fans are. They'll forget it by the time the games come out and buy it anyway.

Devs literally changed it later to the 69'th Pal on their Dex too.

Nah my nigga, they were from someone who's been a part of Game Freak for a looooong fucking time, and the materials found on GF's own servers. A lot of it is essentially Jap folklore with Pokemon subbed in for yokai, but almost every single one of these unused stories involves someone fucking a Pokemon or being raped by one.

Lovander is just one big coom joke, but Palworld was never marketed as a kids game, thus I have zero issue with it. Funny how that works.

One employee named Suguru Nakatsui wrote it all. It's based off of Japanese folklore supposedly.

The same guy was reportedly behind the extra-edgy Mega Evolution dex entries.
 
This lawsuit is even more petty than I first thought. And the amount they’re suing for is also weirdly low.

Depending on the contents of the injunction, their being granted relief would kill Palworld. Lowballing the monetary damages is a way to get a judge to agree to kill the competition imo.

Japanese courts are biased in favour of the plaintiff. Ace Attoney, while being a grottesque overexaggeration of reality, is a social commentary on this exact thing.

I would be surprised at the Abrahamic nature of someone being able to patent videogame mechanics, but nintendo also got away with holding the patent to the fucking controller crosspad (the reason why playstation had that disconnected triangle thing, or why everyone else had to make do with a shitty circle thumbpad) so I won't be too shocked when japan's comical justice system rules this garbage in their favor.
