:agree::agree::agree: with everyone saying this "mental health crisis" was fake AF for all the reasons mentioned.

Necky's demeanor when she gets back to the car is that of an utterly fed-up person who just got yelled at by their tyrannical boss for the 5th time that day.

This is probably the closest we'll ever get to witnessing the Binge Monster in action.

That thumbnail:winner::story:

Gorl like, lol calm down it's just ground turkey.

Muh depreshun... gorl your body goes numb because of beetus.

God those coon eyes:cryblood:

Gorl your emotions are like that because of your goddamned blood sugar, zip it for a while.

Over 400 pounds... what an understatement. Also, don't lie you're always a cunt to Becky.

"I'm and idiot" well, no evidence points to the contrary.:agree::agree:

You hate putting medicine in your body but don't feel the same about shoveling greasy shit in it? Priorities gorls, priorities.:winner:

"I'm sorry too" yes Becky, you are, you should be.

Becky you get tired from all that fat...

This video would make a great drinking game for everytime she says depreshun and Lexapro. But damn, this shit so boring...

to me it's more that she threw a tantrum cause she wanted to eat turkey and she was not gonna be able to cause she forgot it, she is a food addict, her life revolves around food and if she planned that day to eat turkey, that was all in her mind at that moment and if she was looking forward to whatever meal she was gonna prepare with it, she MUST HAVE TO HAVE THE TURKEY so tantrum

Is it terrible that I have no sympathy for this fucking sow?
No because she's this broken up over a tube of ground turkey. Normally people have sympathy for people in actual bad or tragic situations; nobody is going to extend their emotions to feel bad for Amberlynn missing a meal.

I feel like this is probably pretty close to what the "binge monster" is like. She knows people have said they want to see it, so she's showing it, but she doesnt want to say "LOOK AT THE BINGE MONSTER! I ATE ALL THE CHEEZ ITS FOR SNACK ON THE WAY HOME AND NOW WE HAVE TO GO BACK TO GET MORE BECAUSE NO WAY IN HELL AM I (nor is Becky) MAKING IT THROUGH THE NIGHT WITHOUT CHEEZ ITS!"

Y'all a bunch of hAyDuRs.

This video might just be a plot to make Becky forgive her for her tantrum.

Well, on the upside, if she ever winds up on "My 600 Pound Life"... they'll have LOTS of great footage to use!

I think it's definitely a factor. She says multiple times that she's recording this while Becks is gone because she doesn't want to make her feel bad...then she fucking uploads for the world and Becks to see. I think it's yet another Hambert manipulation of Necky with the added bonus of deflecting attention about the Chantal thing. It most certainly was not a panic attack in clinical terms. That much is certain.

Oh Amber, such a good and kind person, such a martyr who's never used words to hurt anyone in pain. Destiny's mom's miscarriage? Nope, you never joked about that. Only a fat cunt would do such a thing. Oh wait...

LOL that account only has 2 posts, I wonder who it could be. I also like that their info says "Some people are literally so dramatic" as she trips over herself to defend Amber who is acting overly dramatic because she did not take her medication on purpose.

This video might just be a plot to make Becky forgive her for her tantrum.
I enjoyed the portion where she tries to get Becky to agree with her that she wasn't herself on lexapro and she didn't want to go out and Becky is straight up like "No you were better on Lexapro" and Amber has to quickly backpedal before she whines like the toddler she is that she just "didn't want to take it." And you can see Becky eyeroll and stare off like she's dealing with a child that chooses to crap themselves rather than sit on the toilet after they've been trained.

She's trying to pose a tantrum as a panic attack. I have no doubts her emotions are all fucked up cause she took herself off the mood stablizer but that shit was a tantrum because she doesn't want to deal with being told no and being wrong and she fucking can't stand it. If she was having a panic attack her ass would have been at the hospital cause she would have thought she was having a heart attack. And if she doesn't than we know for a fact that Amber will eventually die from a heart attack and not even go to the hospital cause she'll be too busy filming her "panic attack". Gorl, get your fucking life together and see a therapist.

Oh no, not harsh words from strangers on the internet! Anything but that!

Grow up, Amber. Worry about making amends to the actual people you've treated like shit.

Are we sure those were panic attacks and not, you know?, heart attacks?

I deal with panic attacks. They can imitate the symptoms of a heart attack or stroke, but not at the same intensity level. I might be :powerlevel: here, but I had the worst panic attack of my life a couple of months ago and it really felt like I was having a stroke. Numbness on the left side of my body on my face, arms, and back area. Also had a rapid heart rate, trouble breathing, and exhaustion. When I looked in the mirror, I didn't have a droopy face on the side affected by the numbness, nor did I have slurred speech, but I did have trouble putting my thoughts together and forming a coherent sentence. I really didn't want to go to the ER, but the possibility of dying without getting aid would be a dumb way to go so I went. Took about 4 hours in the ER for my symptoms to completely subside. Blood work and a couple of doses of radiation later they found nothing wrong with me and concluded that with my history of anxiety, what I experienced was probably a panic attack and I should speak to my PCP about it. I was shocked because I couldn't believe a panic attack could be so intense. Did some googling and found stories from other people about going to the ER, because they felt like they were having a heart attack, but it was just a panic attack. Very interesting.

- what Amber describes as depression is so not depression.

Yeah, not to play armchair psychology, but to me how she acts in this video seems more like mania than depression. I'm not saying everyone with a mental disorder acts the same, but from my experiences with depression, I don't have crying fits nor act super emotional and don't know anybody with depression that does. With panic attacks, you can have outbursts but she's not really displaying the physical or emotional symptoms of it in the video from what I can see, though the symptoms could have subsided. Like someone else said, a person having a panic attack wouldn't vlog it, unless they're doing it for educational purposes. Good lord, my generation is weird.

Depression is more of a lack of emotion, being numb on the inside. I would expect a person in the manic phase to be super emotional and lash out at other people. In her recent videos while off meds, people in the comments have noted that she talk so fast and her thoughts are all over the place, like a manic would. What do you guys think? Gonna spoiler tag the symptoms of mania for those who care. Will bold and underline the more important bits.

A manic episode is a mood state characterized by period of at least one week where an elevated, expansive, or unusually irritable mood exists. A person experiencing a manic episode is usually engaged in significant goal-directed activity beyond their normal activities. People describe a manic mood as feeling very euphoric, “on top of the world,” and being able to do or accomplish anything. The feeling is like extreme optimism — but on steroids.

Sometimes the manic mood is more irritable than it is elevated, especially if the person’s wishes are curtailed or denied altogether. Often a person in the midst of mania will engage in multiple projects at the same time, with little premeditation or thought going into them, and finishing none of them. They may work on these projects at all hours of the day, with little regard for sleep or rest.

A person’s change in mood is typically associated with manic symptoms that should be observable by others (e.g., friends or relatives of the individual) and must be uncharacteristic of the individual’s usual state or behavior. In other words, they’re acting in a way that isn’t typical of themselves, and other people recognize it.

The manic feelings the person experiences should be severe enough to cause difficulty or impairment in their ability to function at work, with friends or family, at school, or other important areas in their life. Symptoms also cannot be the result of substance use or abuse (e.g., alcohol, drugs, medications) or caused by a general medical condition.

Specific Symptoms of a Manic Episode
In order for a manic episode to be diagnosed, three (3) or more of the following symptoms must be present:

  • Inflated self-esteem or grandiosity
  • Decreased need for sleep (e.g., one feels rested after only 3 hours of sleep)
  • More talkative than usual or pressure to keep talking
  • Flight of ideas or subjective experience that thoughts are racing
  • Attention is easily drawn to unimportant or irrelevant items
  • Increase in goal-directed activity (either socially, at work or school; or sexually) or psychomotor agitation
  • Excessive involvement in pleasurable activities that have a high potential for painful consequences (e.g., engaging in unrestrained buying sprees, sexual indiscretions, or foolish business investments)
Inflated self-esteem is typically present, ranging from uncritical self-confidence to marked grandiosity, and may reach delusional proportions. Individuals may give advice on matters about which they have no special knowledge (e.g., how to run the United Nations). Despite lack of any particular experience or talent, the individual may embark on writing a novel or composing a symphony or seek publicity for some impractical invention. Grandiose delusions are common (e.g., having a special relationship to God or to some public figure from the political, religious, or entertainment world).

Almost invariably, there is a decreased need for sleep. The person usually awakens several hours earlier than usual, feeling full of energy. When the sleep disturbance is severe, the person may go for days without sleep and yet not feel tired.

Manic speech is typically pressured, loud, rapid, and difficult to interrupt. Individuals may talk nonstop, sometimes for hours on end, and without regard for others’ wishes to communicate. Speech is sometimes characterized by joking, punning, and amusing irrelevancies. The individual may become theatrical, with dramatic mannerisms and singing. Sounds rather than meaningful conceptual relationships may govern word choice (i.e., clanging). If the person’s mood is more irritable than expansive, speech may be marked by complaints, hostile comments, or angry tirades.

The individual’s thoughts may race, often at a rate faster than can be articulated. Some individuals with manic episodes report that this experience resembles watching two or three television programs simultaneously. Frequently there is flight of ideas evidenced by a nearly continuous flow of accelerated speech, with abrupt changes from one topic to another. For example, while talking about a potential business deal to sell computers, a salesperson may shift to discussing in minute detail the history of the computer chip, the industrial revolution, or applied mathematics. When flight of ideas is severe, speech may become disorganized and incoherent.

A person in a manic episode may easily lose attention. Distractibility is evidenced by an inability to screen out irrelevant external stimuli (e.g., the interviewer’s tie, background noises or conversations, or furnishings in the room). There may be a reduced ability to differentiate between thoughts that are germane to the topic and thoughts that are only slightly relevant or clearly irrelevant.

The increase in goal-directed activity often involves excessive planning of, and excessive participation in, multiple activities (e.g., sexual, occupational, political, religious). Increased sexual drive, fantasies, and behavior are often present. The person may simultaneously take on multiple new business ventures without regard for the apparent risks or the need to complete each venture satisfactorily. Almost invariably, there is increased sociability (e.g., renewing old acquaintances or calling friends or even strangers at all hours of the day or night), without regard to the intrusive, domineering, and demanding nature of these interactions. Individuals may also display psychomotor agitation or restlessness by pacing or by holding multiple conversations simultaneously (e.g., by telephone and in person at the same time). Some individuals write a torrent of letters on many different topics to friends, public figures, or the media.

Expansiveness, unwarranted optimism, grandiosity, and poor judgment often lead to an imprudent involvement in pleasurable activities such as buying sprees, reckless driving, foolish business investments, and sexual behavior unusual for the person, even though these activities are likely to have painful consequences. The individual may purchase many unneeded items (e.g., 20 pairs of shoes, expensive antiques) without the money to pay for them. Unusual sexual behavior may include infidelity or indiscriminate sexual encounters with strangers.

People who experience a manic episode are often diagnosed with a type of bipolar disorder.

It sounds like the medication stabilized her. That can be an odd feeling when you are used to your emotions being all over the place. I don’t think “numb” is the right word. I think “stable” is.

She (and Necks) obviously have severe mental illnesses. This was only interesting for me as observing how out of control mental illness can cause someone to be. I mean Becky complains of the medication making her tired, but it also makes her not want to die. I was surprised to hear her wonder if it was worth it. Let’s see...sleepy, or wanting to die. Not sure which one to choose... ‍♀️

My initial thought was this was a ploy to get sympathy from Necky. Maybe something happened during the family visit. Amber, swaddled in a king-size duvet, said or did something shitty in front of Becky's fam. Now she's conjuring crocodile tears and claiming "mah depreshun" to get back in the simpleton's good graces. Just a theory, who knows (or cares).

I prefer this Amber, she acts more like a normal human being. That's right you're 500 lbs, you should be fucking concerned.

Antidepressants are a double-edged sword. SSRIs reduce symptoms on the short-term and this reduction of symptoms should be used as an opportunity to enact true changes through therapy. Long-term use of SSRIs is dangerous because the brain, in an effort to maintain homoeostasis, undergoes changes to down-regulate the production of serotonin which is now artificially heightened because of the drug. This can create permanent brain changes in which the production of serotonin is permanently lowered even when the use of the drug is discontinued. It's called tardive dysphoria and it behaves like depression, it's treatment resistant. The impact is proportional to the strength of the antidepressant and how long it's been taken. Doctors act like taking this stuff is a joke, it's really not, and people don't read the documentation that comes with their medication.

Come on, y'all. She had this whole "attack" because of ground turkey??
What I think REALLY happened was Amberlynn tried to persuade Becky to get junk food, they had a fight over it and then she started recording that video hoping that Becky would come back while still filming and feel bad for her. Chances are they got fast food afterwards.

Her act would also be believable if she could open her mouth without radiating extreme amounts of manipulation.
