Africa. A lot of the interior, especially in the 19th century setting, would probably have folk Islam instead of actual Islam.
I was being rhetorical, but yes. And Africa still has fucked up folk Islam in the interior, mixing Islam with African ooga-booga sorcery. "I don't need to aim, this divine charm from the local imam will have Allah guide my bullets for me."

Honestly folk Islam is a silly category. Not because it's necessarily wrong, but because it would simply be better to have a folk variant for any organized religion subsaharans and their diaspora interact with.

How the FUCK do people enjoy Hoi 4? I played 3 campaigns and either you research the right stuff and totally win or you try to have fun and roleplay and loose. At least with eu4/5 you can get creative with how you play. What a waste of money, my God. I'm serious, please someone tell me the appeal of that game.

Just play Hearts of Iron 2: Darkest Hour. Conquering France with historical casualties feels like an achievement, especially with Edge of Darkness or TRP mods installed.

It lets history spergs play visual novels without feeling guilty.

I like the idea of fighting over guano islands in the pacific.

Its a real shame Vicky 3 doesn't have that. One of my biggest complaints is how quickly you pushed towards industrial nitrogen synthesis due to a severe lack of natural sources for it like manure, guano, or mineral deposits when IRL that shit didn't happen until the early 1900's.

The early navies in particular should require having sulphur and coal to represent how thirsty these ships are for gunpowder.
