I think the USA is going to make it...

I wonder how Vic3 dlc performed. Aside from initial wave of praise it honestly looks shite. Not much changed.

The ability to foreign invest makes it kinda a necessary DLC.

I got lucky with the Abbasids getting a few decadent caliphs in a row, but having to fight most of India for one of the holy sites several times, fend off those annoying fucking steppe niggers, and deal with the constant culture/religion uprisings was a pain in the ass.

i want to try slavic kiev again as the only female chieftian in the entire game but that's based on several different RNG (The steppe niggers not fucking you up, the Bulgarians not gobbling you up instead of Serbia, and your neighbors making the most convenient subjugations allowing you to conquer most of Kievan Rus)

The Norse are a lot of fun for 200 years.
 
I prefer the Lithuanian group of people for that.
Why? Easier access to trade posts?

The feedback to the Tinto maps on Poland, Baltics, and Ruthenia has been posted and it's a big one, great to see it.
  • Added 194 new locations!!! (lolimagine an EU4 DLC adding that many)
  • Lots of dynamic province names and renamings
  • New cultures added, Polish and Ruthenian cultures fragmented
  • Reworked country ownership, RGOs, pops, and terrain

Tinto Talks #28 is up and concerns Winter and it's effects. Naturally food production is affected, anywhere from a 25% reduction in a mild winter, to basically no production in a severe one. More interestingly it also apparently freezes (heh) construction of both building and ships, meaning shit like Russia's desperate attempts to find a port that isn't an arctic hellhole make sense. However that's not all, by far the most interesting bit IMO:
Freezing Seas
Narrows, Inland Seas and Lakes have the possibility of freezing over during winter. This can happen when a seazone has had severe winter for over a week, and will then last until winter is no longer severe in that location.

A frozen seazone can be traversed by armies and this allows greater military control over the lands it reaches; however, it will cause navies to get stuck until it thaws. Be careful when the weather changes, it can thaw with catastrophic consequences if an army is on the ice. Navies can also not enter any seazone that has frozen over.

What I find to be really cool is that in heavy winters mountain provinces will become untraversable, will make playing mountainous countries way more interesting and defendable.

Some more interesting stuff that Johan mentioned in the replies:
If a navy is out in a sea tile that gets frozen, it will be stuck there and armies will be able to capture it (You better watch out with blockading shit lol)
An army can die by being on a frozen tile that melts
Sea tiles being frozen can reduce control and slow down trade by making it require longer routes
 
Tribal in CK2+ is such a pain. I forgot you had to upgrade everything on top of tribal organization to feudalize.

I setup pretty much everything with my founding ruler and relaxed with my second to build up all the funds I'd ever need.
Speaking of founding, the Dobrava I got for this run was insane.

That's going to be a fun meta strategy.
Really an underrated element in games. Even in more tactical games that's pretty rare. Company of Heroes 2 stands out as one of the few examples where frozen lakes were a thing and on the grander level I can only think of a few cases like Operational Art of War letting supplies move over frozen water as if it was open terrain without roads.
