I see. Thanks. What did you do about the names?
The names? I just pick SPQR naming. unless you are talking about something else. I dont think it mentions if a character is african anywhere. Even if it does i dont see it and i dont care. Technically musk is african.

You know they never said EU5 is Project Caesar
VICKY 4 CONFIRMED
I mean, it isn't just EU5, in a way. Paradox is throwing everything and the kitchen sink at this game, taking all the greatest hits from Imperator and Vicky and shoving them into it. It's the main reason why I'm rather excited for it.

It's supposed to be Johan's magnum opus, the best grand strategy game ever made and it really might be. Even if it will have problems on launch which it undoubtedly will, it's been shown off in the dev diaries that a shit ton of the game will be scriptable and moddable so the modders will be able to rework a lot of shit.

If goodwill is a currency Paradox is in serious debt. A lot of their audience is pissed but they don't really have alternatives. They need a big win to bring people around.

I don't trust Paradox, but I do have some faith in Johan. I liked what they were doing with Imperator and an opportunity to fulfill those aims, but without the baggage, appeals to me. Not to mention they've for over a year now meticulously detailed their aims and how the design came to, with feedback from the community, compels me to be optimistic.

Stellaris's new update makes the economy a nightmare. I swear I spend more time balancing trade deficits than I do actually running my empire. Used to be I just buy what i was short and sell what I had too much of to offset the energy credit deficit. Now i have to go through the trade resource and it just feels terribly implemented.
If a colony has a resource deficit they need to pay for transportation of the resources at cost. If a colony has +200 minerals and another has -200 minerals, it costs 100 or so trade to actually transport them (value depends on the good).

Its to make it so you can no longer have a colony that's just 35 labs with no infastructure to support it.

You can still DO that, but you need a planet specialized in trade to cover the costs.

Yeah, finally started figuring that out. Thanks for the tip all the same.
