Plenty of other people deserted at the same time and weren't killed. Slovik refused every opportunity to reconsider and just straight up told them the instant he was given the opportunity, he would desert again. So while I'm sure they chose to make an example of him, it was really his own fault. Everyone else in his situation managed not to get shot, even the people deserting at the same time as he did. I'm sure the people after him had something to think about when they considered deserting, though.

I always find it funny when a bunch of "MUH J00000ZZE!" spergs with 2020 signup dates tell some guy who has been here from the first year of the site he's using it wrong.

I think he got banned the first time for being made an A&H mod and then immediately getting in some slapfight with OwO. Then after that expired, he came back and was constantly posting messages on people's profiles telling them to kill themselves. After he got a ban from posting on profiles, he ragequit and never came back.

I think if you're not American, you might be more....circumspect about commenting about American politics. I know twitter has somehow shrunken the English-speaking world into a rabid morass of stunted self-regard, but you need to have a dog in a fight before discussing it somewhat authoritatively. Otherwise you end up like Ian Miles Cheong.

As much as I read American magazines, I know that as an Australian, I'm on the outside looking in. There's lots of Australians obsessed with the U.S' culture wars, unfortunately.

Some try to. The attempt at right-wing Libertarianism and Pro-Israel schtick leaves most Australians bewildered, though. Even if the right in this country have tried to erode the 80's welfare safety net there is an underlying preference for it. Most Australians are irreligious and Israel is just another country in the middle-east.

As for left-wing Id-pol, it does tend to translate a bit better.

Fair point, if I put someone on ignore I don't go around telling people about it since I kind of figure that's the point. Seems odd to point it out unless there's a conversational reason to, like if someone's wondering why you aren't responding or something similar.

Racks like that are a dime a dozen. It's not like she's Ben Shapiro's sister or anything. Besides, attractiveness is more than just the size of her teats. Every time she opens her mouth I think about calling La Migra.

Oh yeah and find me a socialist female in that age group that DOESN'T have herpes. I'll wait.
