Pastadome - A place for friends who are being too friendly in other threads.

Yeah, that's why you never really see me debate with anyone on here. I used to earlier on until I started to realize how pointless it was, so I moved to just bringing in new information, speculating about shit like a literal crazy person, and cracking jokes about whatever's happening in the most well-funded Lolcow Circus in the world: U.S. Politics.

Debating users on here tends to be very silly, but again, I'm not going to tell people they aren't allowed to do it. I'm just going to hope that the resulting slap-fight is funny so I can feed the Pastadome.
I do get that he's being baited a lot of the time, but at some point one should realize that the bait isn't THAT tasty.

Or, I dunno, maybe it is for him.

If all of his responses are just basic bitch Democrat talking points then it should be perfectly easy to rebut anything that he says. He says stuff that I blatantly disagree with or that I know for a fact has been completely torn apart, but I don't see any point in trying to engage with it because I'm not going to change his mind and he's not going to change mine. All the pieces are on the board and all the teams have been chosen.

That being said, he's not that different from the majority of people in A&H. A&H has plenty of people who are overtly way off to the right, flying a legitimate Nazi banner and advocating for the acceleration of a race-war, but that's not the average person in A&H. I don't like what they have to say either and I don't agree with much of any of it, but I'm not about to jump in and tell them they can't say it unless it's a situation where that discussion doesn't belong in the thread, or if it's gotten so out-of-hand that it's drowning out every other topic. Even then, I do everything I can to just relocate the posts, rather than deleting them.

The bulk of A&H users are moderates; some slightly to the left, some slightly to the right, and Hollywood falls a little to the left side of the field, but really not all that far. The basic principles behind his politics are not that different from everyone else's, he just expresses them differently. He doesn't like big corporations controlling the bulk of America, he doesn't like self-serving politicians that bilk the country for money, he wasn't in favour of the riots or that BLM mutating into a "Kill Whitey" carnival was a good thing, he doesn't think that America should be the World Police, he doesn't think we should be constantly fighting other people's wars in the Middle East, and he's very clearly not interested in shit like HAES.

This does not put him that far away from most anyone in A&H.

I'm actually very surprised that he doesn't like Donald Trump. Most of his policies and positions and actions should have put him right on the path to supporting his Presidency, but he decided--for whatever his reasons are--that he didn't want to do that. Fair enough. He and I could sit around kicking and screaming and spitting and linking article after study after leaked document and that needle wouldn't move. Likewise, convincing him to actually vote for Donald Trump is now effectively impossible, because everyone associated with Trump has constantly treated him like a dick, completely poisoning that well. As a result, Hulk Hogan is going to vote for Biden and that's the end of that story.

The thing that genuinely differentiates him from the other users is that he's very confrontational in the way that he argues, but I've spent three months now moving arguments into the Pastadome, and there's a pattern: The first message that gets trimmed out when I move arguments into this thread are not typically Hollywood's. The general flow is:
  1. Someone tags Hollywood, usually aggressively. If it's not, his next message reflects that.
  2. Hollywood responds. If the original user was aggressive, his response is immediately aggressive. If it's not, he's largely on-topic.
  3. The conversation will stay on-topic until someone deviates from the topic completely and starts replying to Hollywood purely with invective.
  4. All of Hollywood's responses from here-on will be off-topic and invective.
  5. Everything is yeeted to the Pastadome.
It's very uncommon that he's the person who starts the derailment. He's not the origin, he's just the catalyst, and I don't think it's fair to punish someone because their presence causes other people to lose their heads. One of my overarching "goals" for the Pastadome was to remove the ability to "hide" angry outbursts. Users will fly at each other all the time, and then a moderator will step in, sweep everything under the rug, and send people back to their corners. All the evidence of the spat is mopped away and there's no repercussions in the long-term if no one was banned as a result. Essentially, it winds up never having happened.

The Pastadome removes this for A&H if I'm the one who responds to the ticket, because I don't give a shit if people want to fight each other. Go at it, rage-type on your keyboard for 500+ pages and make absolute speds of yourself, it makes no difference to me. I'm going to make you own every word of it, though. I'm going to archive it, preserve it, and prevent it from being deleted or removed from the public eye. I'm not going to mop up your mess, I'm just going to keep piling it in this warehouse as a testament to your inability to calm down. I'm going to make you stay in the same room as the person you hate until one of you leaves, one of you breaks the rules and gets big-dicked by another moderator because I didn't catch it in time, or you finally learn to get along.

It is completely possible to have a normal, civil debate with Hollywood about politics. How many people have actually tried?
I like you, dude, but that post of yours is full of the teal deer.

Worse still, you spent all of that verbiage in service of missing the point. I don't think anyone cares about what HHH believes politically. It's his persecution complex that makes him someone to point and laugh at. That his politics are not that different from everyone else's is not germane. Anyone who is that paranoid is going to get poked at.

I don't know how you missed that, but the next time you miss a point that hard, do it in fewer words.

I have; It's funny because I think my political views are much farther right of the norm on A&H, yet pretty much all of the conversations I have had with HHH have been cordial.

The secret is to just accept he disagrees on some of your opinions and not get mad lol; Have productive conversations on what you agree on and avoid conversations that you know will only piss both parties off.

If something does get under your skin just leave the website for a few hours and do something productive like weight lifting or other self improvement activites (running, going on a long walk, reading, calisthenics, etc.).
You'll come back realizing that you would have looked really dumb if you had sperged out and have spent the last hour using the fading anger for something productive instead.

I know it's not a popular opinion in A&H and I know that most people won't agree with me. I wanted to at least make my points clear in an unreasonably large textwall so people know why he and no one like him have been banned, because I think they're owed the most cogent explanation I can give, since it probably looks very confusing or unfair for a lot of people.

You'll notice that this is also extending to the people who do this with him. I don't punish them, either. If people want to rib on him for what he does, I treat what they're doing the same way I treat what he does: I send it to the Pastadome. I don't consider sending things to the Pastadome a punishment; it doesn't mean someone made a 'bad post', it just means it had no place in the thread that it was in.

I don't really care for the "Manlet Marauder" motif either, but I also don't understand why so many people want to watch Phil wear stupid vests and complain about how there was nothing he could do, or why people religiously follow Amber around to watch her buy journals. Everyone just has their own way to have fun on the Farms, and if that's what he wants to do and if people keep encouraging him to do it, I don't know why anyone's surprised.

It’s fake.

1. The story of how it was acquired is questionable at best, as at the time Hunter was living in California, not in Delaware. For a second thing, Rudy has a habit of claiming outlandish shit and then never backing it up.

2. The Post didn’t even bother to do any kind of investigation on the emails or the harddrive. I doubt Rudy did either.

3. The original hard drive isn’t available. Verifying the files veracity thus becomes difficult at best. The whole thing smells funky.

4. This would have been evidence available to the Senate Republicans when they did their whole nothingburger review, if the OG hard drive was taken into federal custody. It would have come out months ago.

5. This stinks of disinformation being fed to a gullible source (Rudy) by a third party of some kind.
Hey go suck a dick you fucking Chink.

Except for the part where Joe may have had a direct hand in enabling Hunter's bullshit and may have benefitted/profited from it. I don't care too much about Hunter himself, beyond the fact that he's a hysterically-inept fuckup. If the case is being made that Trump has done the same, that puts Biden at best on the SAME LEVEL as the man he's seeking to unseat. Given the potential scope of this fuckery, it's actually looking like Biden's in a worse spot. We'll see what happens, but generally arguing that "X candidate is doing the same shit as Y candidate, but at least X isn't Y!" isn't a winning argument.
Lol calm down.

I said nothing about your opinion being unpopular, nor did I emphasize this about HHH. The point I'm making, and that you're missing with a reliability more normally seen in successes, is that it's his martyrdom schtick that draws attacks.

I also didn't say anything about punishing him. Why would I? I need the pasta recipes.

Yes, his attackers spur him on, and he spurs on his attackers. That's the kind of spergery this forum exists to document and observe. Why are you surprised?

Amazing how much of a coincidence that a Q-Anon believing computer repairman happens to get Hunter Biden's laptop full of incriminating information. Totally not made up bullshit that is made to appeal to the gullible Trumpers I am sure.
I applaud you for sticking around the farms because you always get shit on (rightfully so) for everyone post you make in the political threads.

What happened to you to make you so retarded?

WAAAAAAH WAAAAAAH IMMA CRY TO MODS BECAUSE MY ANUS IS BLEEDING!!!! WAAAAAH HEEEEEEEELP ME MOOOODS!

FTFY faggot.

I applaud you for sticking around the farms because you always get shit on (rightfully so) for everyone post you make in the political threads.

Anyone without at least some doubts as to the provenance of this crap is at least somewhat gullible, at the very least on the levels of idiots who believed the "pee pee tape" shit.

No, A&H needs to learn to handle people who disagree with them. If you don't want Hulk's spicy pasta takes then don't tag him in the fucking threads.
They cry about HHH derailing and mudding threads, unaware that they are doing so themselves, HHH is not there to derail, he's there to teach, to break their backs, make them humble

wow all this talk about @Hollywood Hulk Hogan and yet he hasn't been tagged?

for a guy that a&n regs call stupid, he sure manages to rile up the tards pretty fucking well here.

and that is its own reward, honestly.

They really don't like when they lose their hugbox. I have like 3 pages worth of posts of the same idiots tardraging over me not liking Dear Leader and that when people are a jerk to me, I am a jerk back. They call me a faggot or an n-bomb, I call them a manlet and they lose their shit

The manlet thing is actually more funny than anything else, after it was combined with the absolute fantasy that Obama and Trump are equal in height.

Not even Google believes that line.
