The drama's getting a bit spicy on Twitter. First, this tweet sums up the situation. Another person (Timburrs) got called out for commissioning cub and Dogpatch called them a low value target.

Dogpatch made a subtweet after that tweet started going around and the ratio is amazing. The first reply is Patrick using someone elses DM's to threaten them, before blocking the person who called him out along with just about everybody posting a reply.

The article he linked was a guest post defending problematic kinks, including cub specifically and it goes into detail about this. This wasn't lost on Twitter as Dogpatch proceeded to throw the people who called out pkrussl under the bus.

The interesting part is that Patrick's audience turning on him isn't because of political furry drama or because he called the wrong person a Nazi, but because it came out that he's just a clickbait blogger who only cares about clicks and retweets instead of being furry Twitter's top activist.

That's a lot of developments in a single day. I'm not surprised, as I said before he's like a homophobic conservative who gets outed as gay or male feminist who gets revealed as rapist. On one hand his site's about page lists 3 core contributors, but one of them was a fandom historian who died this year and the other is a furry book reviewer who likely gets more attention writing reviews of furry books for a furry blog than on YouTube where he has issues getting an audience. Even that's kind of dead because most furries who actually buy books tend to buy furry porn books and that's it. He's looking for other contributors, but a lot of things most likely put people off from how he handled the Dreamkeepers guest post to how furries are getting sick of the whole political shitstorm to begin with.

Meanwhile the "about page" reads like a long fluffed up list of Patches media appearances while bragging about how he owns Nazis online...which is funny in hindsight because all it took was one article for his fame to come crashing down.

The Dreamkeepers article handling was just embarrassing. You have a reasonable article with the simple message of "Political e-slapfights are damaging and help literally no one" and you had Patch just inserting his hot takes, snarky GIFs and commentary throughout the whole thing. It just made him look bad. It'd only make him look good to the three people in existence who actually like him.

I think Patch suffers from Sargon Syndrome, In that, he has a platform and he vastly overestimates how much people actually like him. Such things are that even JUNIUS of all people, who I believe was supposedly tight with him, has called him out.

I've never seen that About page before, but it's kind of funny (and sad for Fred Patten's sake) that of the three "main contributors" to Dogpatch Press... one of them is dead. So there's really just two.

It's kind of telling that he doesn't make an effort to highlight, thank, or introduce any of the guest contributors. Even ones who posted multiple times or who had their own columns.
