It's been 16 hours since Pat prisoned anyone. My Reddit contact sent me this screenshot - apparently Pat blocked the troll and didn't even reply. What's going on? Is he okay?

Maybe there's a miracle happening and Patrick has listened to his lawyers and shut the fuck up.

Rick's obsession with the Matrix movies is so insufferable.
The only "good" part of that movie other than some nice visuals (done by people other than the Whackoffskis) was the dumbed-down plagiarism of Phil Dick, someone this mental midget has probably never even read.

He probably smelled the cops coming around and "lost his phone in mexico" again.

Or went on a bender and passed the fuck out. Fatso getting up at 5 AM to child stalkers is the most unbelievable part of his antics, no cap, no cap, frfr

that's not the whole story i think.
i believe that the other side to this situation is that in america it is generally much easier for any random guy to file a lawsuit than in most other ocuntries, US courts seem to be a lot more permissive with what kind of suits they allow to proceed.
qualified immunity is their way to avoid having the courts and police departments bogged down by endless retard lawsuit filed by petty criminals who complain about the handcuffs leaving a bruise on their wrist or shit like that.
It also leads to spectacularly dumb results some times, like this case that had to be overturned by the Supreme Court. Hope v. Pelzer, 536 U.S. 370 (2002). Prison guards repeatedly handcuffed a dude in a stress position and left him out in the sun all day without bathroom breaks for punishment. The district court found that qualified immunity applied. The circuit court found that his rights had been violated but it wasn't "clearly established law" that you can't just torture prisoners for shits and giggles since there wasn't a case specifically involving this form of torture. SCOTUS had to say wtf you dumbasses and send it back.
Rick's obsession with the Matrix movies is so insufferable. Of course it giving him a chance to virtue signal about trans shit just makes it all the worse too.
He's a tranny chaser because he's just a closeted homo and wants an excuse to fuck a dude but he's so fugly and fat and disgusting that normal homos are repulsed by him.

i didnt even know that qualified immunity applied to prison guards, i thought it was only for real law enforcement
like, arent prisons operated by private corporations in america? so the guards would jsut be security professionals working for a private company, not real law enforcement working for the state?

At least we can assume his fat hasn't collapsed his heart yet. Should get another good decade of No Stalker Childing .

Even Spicy City, an obscure Ralph Bakshi series, did a better version of the matrix before the matrix.
The Matrix, whilst quite entertaining and well done, is perhaps up there with Fight Club as a never-ending source of sophistical intellectualism for idiots. Dude, it's totally like what if Plato's Cave was real?

the whole premise of using the human bodys metabolism as a power source for machines is interesting at first glance, but when you really look into it it's just nonsense. the energy and effort that would have to go into supplying these humans with nutrients to keep them alive just isn't worth whatever energy they create in the form of body heat. you'd get much more efficient energy generation by growing switchgrass and burning it to make steam in regular thermal power plants.

IIRC the original script had humans being used as CPUs but the directors (focus groups?) felt it was too complicated for idiots like fatrick, so they dumbed it down to "power".

It's a fun action movie, the plot is not really necessary for the action.

Yes, great movies both, but both also prone to making idiots think the movies are real and they are really a part of it. I remember someone I knew once started basing their entire personality on the Kevin Spacey’s character from House of Cards. It was insufferable and highly indicative that said person is a retard, yet somehow less cringy than Pat pretending to be Neo or crying during a fucking Star Wars movie.

If only there was plant matter compressed over millions of years to maximize its energy output when burned. It would be the fuel of the future I tell you.

I was gonna say that "dropped a cultural grenade" is such an effeminate hyperbole. What a homo.

For a “writer” he’s just so fucking pathetic. I’m not going to go out my way to make fun of some prole for enjoying garbage. But Pat claims to be a man of letters. Read a fucking book, Pat. Like a real book. Something written a long time ago. Philosophy , the humanities, the arts, have wrestled with real questions of human flourishing. Michel Foucault was a horrifying French homosexual (but I repeat myself) but I’d respect Pat a lot more if his favorite work was by that nigga and not by Warner Brothers or Disney. Cultural grenade. Shut the fuck up Pat. You’re a fucking lumpenprole aping his intellectual betters. To suggest you’ve ever had a single thought in your life is stolen valor.

This is of a piece with his xeet where he said if he could live in one moment it would be “Avenger’s Endgame.” Have you never had a little sublime experience? Or even been to a decent party? It’s a fucking movie for kids! And hey if you like that, more power to you but it’s not meaningful in any way. It is absolutely more human and admirable to want to relive the first blow job you got from the girl in band class. I understand Pat’s life has probably been a series of constant defeats and public embarrassments but fuck me, man. Then again, it’s not like he can fall back on “holding my firstborn child for the first time.” Maybe I’m being too harsh.

Agreed. I was a teenager when I first saw that movie and I thought it was pretty great. I even thought it was philosophically interesting. I think this is pretty normal for a young dude. But if you think about it once the glow of the big cinematic experience wears off you realize that it’s full of internal contradictions and really doesn’t have a solid enough foundation to build a compelling world upon. All the sequels did was expose the actual shallowness of the whole thing. Can’t blame the Wachowskis for grabbing that cash. Sissy hypno mistresses can’t be cheap in LA. But it’s not some compelling art film, it’s just a fun movie for nerds. (Actually you know what is compelling art is Pat. Man is a surrealist performance artist, a more refined Sam Hyde. I did not vandalize my motorcycle, child. The police know I did not. They know you did. Ceci n’est pas un pipe, Les gendarmes sait ce n’est pas. Ils sait vous êtes. Appreicez prison, petit bébé enfant.)

But if Pat had an IQ above room temp we wouldn’t have the glorious oeuvre of Patposting, so the joke is on me for engaging his arguments as if a rational adult made them. I will now SHUT MY FUCKING MOUTH and wait for the knock.

This is my favorite ONA text message with Patrick, my ribs explode everytime:

There are some private prisons in America, but the vast majority (about 92%) are in state run institutions, though this is an average for the entire country and can vary by quite a bit on a state-by-state basis, with some states having no private prisons at all.

The odds are that if you're enjoying prison in America, it's a public, state-owned facility.

Unless it's someone so fucking fat that thermodynamics gave up and are now sobbing in the corner.

In retrospect, Fight Club, despite having a similarly annoying fanbase, has held up far better. Also they play my favorite Pixies song over the credits.

Too many people have terrible surface-level interpretations about the film and use it to justify all kinds of nonsense, when really it's just a movie about the importance of getting a good night's sleep.
