It's a 1983 action. If there was no violation of "clearly established law," his emotional distress doesn't mean shit, everyone involved including the City is immune.

EDIT: Ok so I just double checked wiki and despite vaguely remembering this specimen as operating in the Pacific Northwest, he was infact born in Wisconsin before moving down to Florida.....I genuinely did not know this until now and it makes the phenotypical resemblance that much more fucking creepy

Britrick is definitely one of his more cringe personas. He visited London a few years back and now thinks he's an honorary citizen. Every single aspect of his "personality" is contrived and this is just another example of that. The only genuine thing about Rick is how enormous he is.

That's not the own he thinks it is. It just means he's an ornery pig to everyone and they aren't getting special treatment, proven by removing his stalker child replies and only looking at a cross section of his civilian replies.

we don’t care why you’re not drinking, and neither should the wife you beat when drunk/the kids who can’t eat because you bought liquor etc. Pat can’t conceive of something to live for and his 1.7 brain finds it perfectly reasonable to continue visiting bars as an alcoholic trying to quit. A window into a childless man’s world.

I think this is so vaguely worded because he knows every filing is being snatched up and posted. Pat can’t specify what he wants withheld without clueing in the stalkers.

This is very interesting imo. He’s referring to legal Airbnb stays that he obviously approved and profited from as swatting incidents. He didn’t even know that the renter was a stalker child til after the fact and he’s arguing in federal court that the city KNEW he had stalkers staying at his house. Where I’m confused is the part where no swatting incidents ever occurred while he had a renter. Only during vacancies. But now Pat is admitting that he approved a stalker child stay and despite no police presence, response or report during that time the city is somehow responsible. I got this shot from Owen so maybe I’m missing context here but this still doesn’t make any sense.
