I don't get the appeal of TWD either tbh. Apparently it's a shitshow nowThey're going to completely ignore the videogame plotline and try to copy and paste "The Walking Dead" as best they can. Writers in Hollywood fucking loathe writers of games and looking down on them, so I highly doubt this will be a remotely faithful adaption. Not like I'm going to watch it so IDGAF.
But it will be hilarious if they give Pedro the Oberyn treatment again.
Neil Druckmann is credited as an executive producer and one of the creators of the TV series, so I doubt that this is going to be a production that just takes the name of the IP and does its own thing like Paul W.S. Anderson's Resident Evil movies did. They're going to completely ignore the videogame plotline and try to copy and paste "The Walking Dead" as best they can. The Last of Us was basically a remake of the 2009 movie The Road with Viggo Mortensen, simple as that. The game itself was basically an interactive movie lmao but of course they gonna milk the hell out of it
No, they won't let it visibly bomb because muh nawtsees. They'll buy it some fake awards and jigger the paperwork to make it look successful then quietly cancel it.If this series bombs do you think Druckmann will kill himself or will he just keep making copetweets about reddit posts?
