Vilified by the Revolutionaries (They were aristocrats not the poor) for being a foreigner (She was Austrian not French), a woman (False accusations of promiscuity including incest with her 8 year old son where even they had to recant those false charges) and being the wife of King Louis XVI.

It remains a prime example of the effectiveness of propaganda where even the Revolutionaries themselves would be surprised by it's success.

The King and Queen were patrons of the Maison Philanthropique, a society which helped the aged, blind and widows. The queen taught her daughter Madame Royale to wait upon peasant children, to sacrifice her Christmas gifts so as to buy fuel and blankets for the destitute, and to bring baskets of food to the sick. Marie Antoinette started a home for unwed mothers at the royal palace. She adopted three poor children to be raised with her own, as well overseeing the upbringing of several needy children, whose education she paid for, while caring for their families. She brought several peasant families to live on her farm at Trianon, building cottages for them. There was food for the hungry distributed every day at Versailles, at the King’s command.

During the famine of 1787-88, the royal family sold much of their flatware to buy grain for the people, and themselves ate the cheap barley bread in order to be able to give more to the hungry. The royal couple’s charity stopped only with their incarceration in the Temple.

This is a good one.

In Greek mythology Hades wasn't the God of death, that was Thanatos. Hades only presided over souls after death, and if anything was just the warden of the afterlife.
Hades ruled the Underworld because it was his domain, not because he was cruel, and he enforced the the rules of the afterlife consistently making sure souls went where they were supposed to go.

He was a glowie. I don't know why you'd think he deserves respect. Were there any confirmed casualties who died in the truck explosion? If so, fuck him. I don't care if he was a patsy.

The White British rioters last summer: they were right about that Rwandan genocider of little white girls being a Muslim. Also an armed Muslim turned up to a vigil for the victims. They were totally correct to be rioting against Muslims. They were given absurdly long sentences for shit like tipping bins over, and pressured to pleaded guilty, while Muslims rioted and beat up white people with absolutely no consequences, and were called by the media “a mostly good-natured gathering”.

For this reason, I never give a shit if a white person makes an edgy tweet or is not 100% perfect at a rally. What is inflicted on us and said about us is far, far worse.
