This does not surprise me, Pepsi has a long history of not so racially diverse women peddling their cancer in a bottle.

I hope that Bruce is contracted to advertise a new brand of birth control pills to black and poor women.

Whatever salt that came from the right was about the misrepresentation of protestors. There's something hilarious about how both sides are essentially upset the protest wasn't violent enough to be realistic

Oh yeah, give those white police scum a darkish brown drink to consume! The soda clearly simbolizes all the innocent black blood shed by the brutish white supremacist crackers! Good job at celebrating poor dindus being devoured everywhere, Pepsi!
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

This is so fucking dumb in so many different ways. The commercial, Kendall Jenner, the outraged, the people defending the commercial. All so fucking dumb.

Wasn't this the same day that those Syrian civilians got attacked with Sarin gas? Seeing children foam at the mouth and choke to death doesn't trigger these people, but a pop commercial sure will. :story:

^Exactly. I'm also disappointed that Pepsi retracted the ad. People like the SJWs will never be happy. They'll always find something to be victims over.

Lol, funny how things have been turned on their head. Not so long ago, Pepsi was the darling of the Arab world and primo-beverage of pro-Palestinian sympathizers, since Coca-Cola refused to bow down to Arab pressure and stop selling to Israel during the Oil Embargo days like their competitors.

Since then they've actually switched gears. Don't you know that Pepsi stands for

Pay

Saving
Israel

Those kids weren't part of the Aryan race, duh

How incompetent do you have to be to try and sell a can of soda and end up pissing off everyone on the political spectrum?

It gets worse when you consider the people who came up with this ad make six figures and will continue to do so despite this fiasco. But lets talk about how unemployed coal miner in West Virginia are privileged.

Pepsi shouldn't make money from social justice. No one should make money from social justice.

Please donate to my patreon so my job can continue to be social justice activist.

Kittens playing in a meadow?

Nah, that's probably offensive somehow.
ugh, the countryside is full of white people. If black kids tried to play in a meadow they would be shot by Cletus and Bubba and buried in a shallow grave and the local sheriff would give them a medal

Around this time Pepsi had a major push to reach out to black consumers. It was very successful, but it led to the nickname "Nigger Coke" and a decline in (wealthier and more numerous) white consumers, so they scrapped it

Pepsi could have run an ad with a bunch of white people talking in a white fashion and doing white things and no one would have batted an eyelash. Some fringe tumblrites might have mumbled something about yetmorewhitepeople, but no one would have really cared. But they were thirsty for some of those sweet sweet diversity dollars. So instead they tried to give the SJW crowd what they wanted. An ad where a beautiful enlightened multi-racial crowd of protesters win against a line of stoic white cops by having better taste and shit. Not much more they could have asked for.

But you give these people an inch, and they use that inch to jam in a crow-bar, pry open the door, shit on the counter, smash out all the windows and light your inventory on fire before chanting that you owe them a mile.

Time to start realizing that diversity dollars aren't a thing that actually exists.

Mostly the moral here is understanding when something your looking at probably isn't a good time to brazenly admit you are targeting to boost sales.

You can get away with Diversity to a degree, plenty of ads these days try to cast minorities or mixed race people. It's more touching really hot topics where the odds of it backfire rise.

Pepsi went for it but didn't commit, the protest is a generic protest and rather than mad, people are like "oh yea we're just out here having a good time and trying to win people over" - so you already teed activists off by implying their angry mobs are good time parties. Then you have Kendall Jenner come down from on high to join the protest - because you know, it only *really* matters once you have a celebrity hogging the limelight

Is that why I always have to fight off a mob of Samoans for the last 2L bottles of pepsi max at the supermarket?

Sorry chum, but this just sounds like apologism for a bunch of retards who continually project their insecurities onto everything and get perpetually upset.

Sorry chum, but this just sounds like apologism for a bunch of exceptional individuals who continually project their insecurities onto everything and get perpetually upset.

I don't have any love for the target audience and their desire to baby tantrum their way through life. I simply just understand the mindset of why they looked at this thing and had shitfits. Possibly spent too much time observing the abyss.

Irregardless for Pepsi odds are any news is good news and the whole thing went and upped their soda sales a bit anyway.
