First quote I've gotten:

Dies $600 each ($1200)
Striking fee -$7 per round
Silver- $10 over spot
Shipping $5 usa
Overseas from us. Cost plus $2
Art adjustment fees as needed $0-$125
And I will have to find out if our suppliers still have metal.
Will take roughly 6-12 weeks to complete.
*Die costs and silver costs and fees are due upfront upfront

This is way more than I was expecting tbh. I don't see why he'd be charging $10 over spot for the metal (literally a >33% profit already) and then an additional $7 per strike. At that rate I'd be looking at selling coins over double the spot, and even then at $56, that'd not make as much money as the manufacturer itself for the run. That's a big bummer.

I'd still buy them at $56 but you're right, that is steep. While that price is inflated for just any old commemorative silver coin I'm still cool with it because I'm more interested in getting a cool KF memento that just happens to be silver and to me and that's worth the amount.

As a side thought, I don't know which is more Jewish, trying to mint your own silver coins or deciding not to because it's too pricey.

I'll buy for 57$.
Maybe in the future when the farms is long dead I'll show my kids what that weird silver coin was about.

Yeah I don't know if I'm willing to shell out the cash for 20 silver coins at $60 a piece. Put me down for five of them, I guess.

This is a fun idea, I'd be in for one or a few depending on cost. Definitely more interesting than another shirt.

I'm not sure we'd be looking at the volumes that you need to make this worthwhile, but I'm keeping an eye on this.

Valentines is too soon. Maybe next year. I was dwelling on what to do for too long and now I'm kind of rushing to figure out a first quarter merch run idea. The silver idea struck me today because I was looking at precious metal interest that's surging right now.
Yeah mea culpa on the timing but I'd 100% buy one if you ever make one. I'll buy some silver coins, but I keep seeing people who act like they know a lot talking about how the current silver stuff is a distraction and is going to go right back down. Even if it does I'll still buy a coin.
