UN Pet dog of a 3-year-girl who spent 16 hours in the elements stayed by her side until she was found - SUCH A GOOD BOY

The pet dog of a three-year-girl who spent 16 hours in the elements has stayed by her side until she was found this morning.

Three-year-old Aurora reportedly told her mum she was "looking for her" when she took the family dog for a walk from their property at Cherry Gully, south of Warwick, yesterday.

The alarm was raised after the child couldn't be found about 5pm, sparking a largescale search involving SES crews and two helicopters.

Max, the family dog who is deaf and partially blind, faithfully stayed with the little girl.

Grandmother Leisa Bennett found Aurora this morning and said the dog and young girl slept together in bushes about three kilometres from where she was last seen.

Remarkably, the child's only injuries were scratches and bruises from the rugged terrain.

There were fears the child could have fallen into one of the 17 dams near the property.

Police and the family have thanked volunteers, neighbours and the community for their efforts.

Queensland Police released a photo of Max, which has been liked on Facebook more than 11,000 times in one hour.

Dogs are honestly the best creatures on Earth. Max didn't abandon his little girl and his presence probably kept her from getting too scared or lonely.

I'm more a fan of female dogs, because I don't like how some of the males try to hump on people, but this doggo did very good.

The humping is a domination thing, not a sexual thing. Both my female beagles do it to pillows and it is hilarious.

All dogs are awesome whether they are male, female, blind, deaf, have 4 legs or fewer, are old or a puppy.

Dogs > People erryday.

We don’t deserve dogs.

We bred an entire subspecies of wolf that are basically just overgrown pups and all they want is affection and attention and care, no matter how horrible some of us humans can be. Staying with this little girl probably came as naturally to Max as breathing.

Pretty much what one of my past dogs did to my oldest one. Why? Don't know. Establishing dominance maybe?

Yes, they do. I discovered it when I was visiting a friend and her dog started to hump on my other friend's leg. I laughed and said "looks like doggo is in love with u" and the owner replied "shes a lesbian"

That doggo is a good boy, and deserves all of the pets. Those parents are not as bad as the parent during the Harambe incident, but still, watch your fucking child. Three year olds are not smart. You are a fully-capable adult. Thank god that she didn't fall into any of the nearby dams.

Beagles are bestest. Mine's as dumb as a bag of sand unless it wants something, then it's a genius. Keeps breaking out of the yard because it finds new ways of escaping.The neighbour's cat and squirrels drive her nuts. They'll sit on top of the fence and she'd be right underneath them hopping and bellowing away

Also a 3 years old is a good source of nutrition if the worst happens.

Actually in my deep depression bouts, my cat has stayed with me for over 16 hours before. Not leaving my side for a moment, even when I slept inbetween or moved. She really is my familiar and I love her to bits for it.
