Lolcow Peter Guerin / Docforbin - Columbine Shooting and Daria Fanboy, Thinks Trolling is Worse than Actual Murder

Now what has ED said to him? I can't find anything in either names or like Kevin Healey, he falsely accuse himself of trolling
Peter doesn't like ED period, because it makes fun of people who act like idiots online. His whole line of thought is that these people, especially him people with learning disorders, shouldn't be held accountable for their actions and places that discuss such individuals in whatever manner mean places are full of bullies.

Maybe we should introduce him to Cool Cat?

I tried but he blocked me

And when people politely warned him of the dangers of tmi.
The "I do what I want" quote still makes me laugh. He himself summed up why he will never learn a goddamned thing. It's glorious.

I never understand this; CWC, PG and his buddy Kevin Healey; why do ASD people have to behave like the world have to revolve around them
It's something they learned from their parents, which seems to be growing more commonplace today. The basic entitlement that special ed kids and adults deserve to be treated better than everyone else, under the guise of being treated "equally".

LOLWUT, what has Garfield got to do with bullying?
View attachment 93461

I used to agree that bullying was a serious public health problem, but Peter Guerin has convinced me that really, it's actually just the proper and natural response to an even more serious public health problem called "being a little bitch."

I love how instead of focusing on children being bullied, he's focusing on adults online. Bullying is a problem and steps should be taken to prevent both it and the adoption of a victim mentality. But Peter wants the entire world to follow his rules, regardless of law or culture.

Meanwhile, high school kids interviewed about bullying see it as a necessary tool for forcing students into adapting to social norms. A social researcher, Tamaki Mino, interviewed Japanese high school students about bullying. Here’s one exchange:

Akiko: We tried to talk to the person being isolated when our teacher told us to do so. But she didn’t really respond to us. If she could be a bit more cooperative, like try to join in or talk to us, then I think things can get better.
Tamaki: You mean, she won’t be bullied if she changes her attitude?
Akiko: Yes, because that’s why she is being rejected…. actually it’s like she is rejecting being with us. If she wants to be a part, she’s got to change herself.

Nowadays, we try to stamp out such behavior in the West while promoting the importance of the individuals. That's not a bad thing, but when it goes to far it leads to people like Dobson, OPL, and Peter. The individual is good and should be celebrated, but we should also be teaching people to work together as a society.

He was allowed to go, he was just too afraid to do so. The little tale he spun did not involve the administration telling him 'no special ed kids allowed'. So he could have gone alone, which was a thing back then. Though considering how much of a drip he is, I can see people asking him not go to because who would want him around on a special evening.

It's been thirty years and he's still harping on having not gone to a dance. Most people at his age don't care unless high school was the high point of their lives.

Whoever this Kristin is, she dodged a bullet.

Well, we already know how much he's exaggerated his bullying, so I'm betting that's also a lie. The truth is probably he was harassing Kristin at school, she was trying unsuccessfully trying to hide from him, so her friends confronted Peter (and probably not for the first time) and flat out said to stop stalking Kristin.

If they told him that if he went to prom he'd ruin their good time, chances are this girl was very upset, they were fed up, and knew Peter well enough that if he showed up and started howling about how he deserves her as his girlfriend, yes, it would ruin everyone's big night. Because yeah, he's not the type to just be content attending without a date and to just hang out with people and dance alone (even though at my prom people with dates was the minority and loads of people just danced as part of the crowd). Proof of this is that he's crying about it almost 30 years later.

This is most likely the more accurate version of what happened. He loses his shit when people don't cater to his whims, and I have no doubt he was like that in high school as well. Maybe the principal or some authority figure did tell him not to attend, but it was specific to him, because of his disruptive behavior, and because he can't admit fault with himself, he interpreted that as "special ed kids are banned" rather than "I alone am forbidden because I'm a big ol' speg". Yeah, maybe he was the victim of some unwarranted bullying, but he's also a massive asshole, so yeah, people are gonna give you a hard time, autism or not. Having a disorder does not give you a pass to be a dick to everyone without consequences.

It's plausible that someone sat Peter down and gently suggested to him that perhaps he shouldn't go to the prom, and even if they sugarcoated it as much as possible, he still interpreted it as "We don't want you or any of the special ed kids there...especially YOU".

Had Peter been the kind of special ed kid to keep quietly to himself and who didn't freak out whenever someone told him that Garfield was dead or anything else that set him off, I doubt anyone would've cared if he had come to the prom or not. But really, it's been almost 30 years since this happened. Almost everyone else would've gotten over this by now.

I know two special ed kids who went to the prom together. (Of course, this was ten years after Peter was in school). But he's so full of shit. They were probably afraid he'd freak out and go full-on Carrie if something didn't go his way.
