Gave my pretty girl a bath today. Her scales dry out sometimes because she's getting old.
Dry scales make it difficult for a snake to shed their skin, so it's important to give them a warm bath if they have that problem. Don't worry, I made sure the bathtub was clean and soap-free before I put her in it.

She's usually pretty sweet and follows me around the house. She is, however, very needy.

She's also very talkative, at least to me and somewhat to my grandparents. She often responds with her meows if I say something to her.

She really does! She swims around and makes swirls and circles. She only surfaces to come up for air. She makes no attempt to escape even though she easily could.

She is a jungle carpet python. She's a good snake, very healthy and active, but she's also an old lady so her skin dries out sometimes. She's still my pretty princess though.

Oh man, it's been a very long time since I've posted ... been mostly stuck catching up on the 3000+ fire posts ...
Anyway, my cat, in the first post, passed away unexpectedly in August, which was devastating. However, this past November, a friend alerted me to a cat, who was her upstairs neighbor's cat, who was dumped off in the woods behind their apartment building when they moved, four months prior. My friend caught this cat and asked me to foster him for the winter until we could find a forever home for him. My friend never really attempted to find a new home for this cat and I've kind of been stuck with him. He's very sweet, but I'm not really ready for another cat and I've been having a lot of trouble "connecting" with him. (He also doesn't get along with my rabbit.)
I've been asking around, but nobody will take him and I don't want to drop him off at a shelter, so I guess I'm going to have to keep asking and putting up flyers until I can place him.
Anyway, this is "Lord Sir Winston Phillip Kittyfacehead III, Esq. of the CT Kittyfaceheads, GBE" (I figured if he was knighted, he'd be more adoptable.)
