I know there's Cat and Dog threads, but of course I'm sure not everyone has cats and dogs (or if you live on my family's misfit suburban hoarder farm; more than just those).
So here's a couple of my "other" pets:
So here's a couple of my "other" pets:
Three generations in one picture as all three horses are directly related - Wilma's the one closest to the fence, M&M's behind her, and Tara's the dark one the right...I think. To be honest, M&M basically dropped the horse equivalent of Mewtwo on the fucking ground; in that she's a clone of her mother in appearance...and also completely fucking sadistic. Seriously, that horse is like a step above feral. The other two are former show horses and broodmares and otherwise quiet.
A fun fact: M&M was born premature, the earliest one the University of Florida had ever seen and also currently the longest living (given that she's about 12 years old now).

To be honest, I never expected to own a fish, and then I got Arcade from my therapist's wedding as he was one of the table decorations...one of the strangest situations I've ever personally experienced. I was certain I'd accidentally kill him off somehow with the fact that he was intended as a disposable living decoration, my own inexperience, or the fact that, y'know, I can't get him one of those ~fancy~ setups the obsessive fish enthusiasts have; yet, it's been over six months since I got him and he's still kicking...er, swimming. So clearly I'm doing something right.
This one was also a surprise. So mom's outside tending to some of our outdoor cats when she hears something in an empty feed bag in the tackroom. Assuming it's one of her raccoons snuck inside (woman's like Linda Belcher feeding the damn things), she opens the bag to discover this juvenile weaned possum inside and decides, in her infinite wisdom, that I should tame it, and puts it in one of the crates we usually use for trapping feral cats.
So that's how I adopted a baby possum.
(I swear to god even though I only recently got the Bioshock Infinite bug I did put it to a friendgroup vote as to what his name should be - Trinket and Snart were the runner up names but in the end Booker got the most votes, and there were other names including Matty, Caesar, and Benny.)
