Those dogs are precious. I want to pet all the dogs.
I've had a lot of animals over time. The first animal I've introduced to people was Boo. He was an Akita/German shepherd mix. He died in 2010. Before Boo passed, I got a guinea pig, Amalie, then a second, Zoe. During this time I had Kazooie, an elderly lutino parakeet.
Kazooie passed when he was like 11 years old (very old age, but he had a good life) and Boo passed in June 2010. We kept the guinea pigs for a while until poor Amalie got a tooth problem that pressed into her tongue and made it impossible for her to eat, she had a heart murmur, and I had her euthanized since surgery was over $1,000 and she was not guaranteed to survive. Zoe passed two days later of unknown causes.
Before the pigs passed, we adopted Monty. He likes small animals.
So Monty and I were sad, so we got the black cat I made a video of since only he only let me play with him. If anyone else at the shelter tried to touch him, he'd run away. Bad luck with pets seems to be a thing with me because he got FIP, which is a rare, fast acting disease mutated from a virus that many cats carry. So he too had to be euthanized. He was best friends with Monty. Here's a picture of him at the shelter. I miss him. He was soft and snuggly.
I was really depressed and thought I couldn't own animals. But a few months later, I was introduced to Maximus. I adopted him a week after we became friends.
Even though I miss my previous buddies, I love Maxi and Monty.
They are also best buds.
