Does it?Before you decide to go all internet vigilante, it implies that the third party is usually the treatment provider.
Powerlevel: I'm deaf and have received SSDI in the past and almost everybody I know has had SSDI so I'm fairly familiar with the systemAmerican Social Security is pretty much all federal, so this is very unlikely to become a problem for him.
One of my friends in college who was an older student ran into this exact problem and his home state said they weren't going to pay up anymore but the state the college was in said it was the home state's problem. They did pay out the same amount he was getting until the home state took his case back after pressure from the college state who didn't want to be on hook for his benefits. There's a student exemption for residency purposes but past a certain age, you have to put in more leg work to get the exemption which he wasn't aware of. Homeless people may have an exemption too but I wouldn't know about this.
Good to know. Here it can often go down to where you live in a given city as to what you might receive.
maybe he got all those tattoos and doesnt shower so he can keep getting tardbucks.
What do you do?This is partially likely. I think he just has his 'thing' for tattoos because of his 13 year old edgy mentality, but those are also things roadblocking him (of his own choice, no less, as nobody forces you to get ink) from finding any real work. Only people who wouldn't GAF about a lot of tattoos would be labor intensive blue collar jobs.
The poor hygiene is a classic scam of those who want to abuse the system. I saw it all the time when I was the head manager of a sporting goods store, people on unemployment need to act like theyre looking for work and so they come in looking like a dumpster fire, smell like shit, dress like shit, etc. and ask for employment applications fully knowing they won't are hired, but it shows the state unemployment people that they're "trying" to find a job.
Minor power level and possible a-log, but the entire system from unemployment to social security needs completely gutted and revamped so that it only helps people with actual problems, like the elderly who physically can not work or our combat veterans who have lost limbs in service to the country. It really, truly, honestly, should NOT be for mongoloids like Phil who are physically able to work. And I know we make jokes about him being a pussy, but the guy is, what, 5'11" and like 250 pounds? Even in an out of shape state, he SURELY has physical strength enough to be doing some real work. It just peeves me off that our social safety net when from helping those in true need to helping those who have controllable behavior issues, but choose to not control them, I.E. Phil's chimpouts.
My only solace in his case is he gets VERY little SSDI money anyway and what he does get he blows it away immediately. He is above the types of scumbags who hoard SSDI money and then buy expensive toys and go on vacations. At least he keeps Sonju in business, Sonju seems like a genuinely alright guy so w/e, it isn't the end of the world. Whether he gets his mongo-bux taken away or not, he is barely able to do anything with them anyway because he is A) stupid and B) doesn't get enough to actually do anything. He'd make more annual income flipping burgers.
If that is how Phil choose to live, I find it sad when compared to some of other Kiwis in their late 20s and early 30s. I literally just turned 30 very recently and I make about 70,000 a year, I can not fathom a life where I am not working and earning good money. phil thinks he is free, but having that dosh and good vacation hours is a lot more freedom than what he has, plus the satisfaction of doing something important in a community, that brings me genuine happiness regardless of the salary.
Sorry for the rant fam, a bit drunkish/hungover yet from last night, my inhibitions are still out of whack.
Good, I hope you're right man.I'm still on the hunt for whoever provided that bunch of stolen medical data to him - but I wouldn't be so sure he's smart enough to not at least consider handing over false or misleading paperwork to the government Phil thinks he's smarter than every one else even though deep down he knows he's really not.
And his luck is running out, he's not got long left before it all comes crashing down.
I get what you're saying, but on the other hand, you'd think getting all those tats would jeopardize those tardbucks, too. I don't know shit about getting tattoos, but I wonder if there isn't a paper trail (receipts?) that prove when he got them, which would show he's spending that money irresponsibly. I don't know...maybe that's a bit of a reach.maybe he got all those tattoos and doesnt shower so he can keep getting tardbucks.
@AnOminous Is there anything in the legislation which isn't immediately apparent on the website?
A padded cell would be safe.I would be surprised if when the next time Phil had to meet with someone he demanded protection. He's not only gotten an entitlement complex, he's got a grand conspiracy that there is an organized group of transphobic racists out to get him and he's too chicken to fight back.
